I don't know how to explain to the people who pop up when creatives complain about "AI" to say there are legit uses for it just how much they sound like someone saying "Well actually fire is used to make bread" when people are talking about an organized arson ring burning down their fucking houses

This government is OURS. It is funded by US. That is OUR White House. WE pay for EVERYTHING. ALL OF IT. WE THE PEOPLE are the rightful owners of this nation. Don’t EVER forget it. FIGHT LIKE HELL FOR IT. NEVER give up.

This next month will be a pivotal time in your term as Governor. Will you be remembered as the guardian of our people, as you were during the harrowing early months of COVID? The alternative is almost too terrible to contemplate. Your neighbor, Laura McDonald Yellow Springs, Ohio

How will the Governor's office and the State of Ohio protect the rights of these immigrants and their native-born children when their refugee status ends in February? Will our State Troopers and National Guard preserve our safety? 3/?

Or will be allowed to become another Chicago or Minneapolis with flagrant rights abuses, assaults, kidnappings, and murders of immigrants and local citizens alike? I ask you to put in place rigorous protections for the rights of all Ohioans, new and native-born. 4/?

I've been proud, for the most part, of Ohio's warm welcome to the Haitian immigrants who found new homes in Ohio the last few years. They've contributed to our workforce, purchased property, supported our businesses, and started families with US citizen children. 2/?

“Can’t believe NYC elected a Muslim as mayor.” In truth—a Black American Christian woman swearing in a Ugandan American Muslim of South Asian ethnicity as his Syrian American wife holds the Qurans he swears in on, all while standing on the steps of a subway station—is the most NYC thing imaginable.

Every flashbang could instead be a meal for a poor kid. Every hotel room for a National Guardsman deployed to fire at our neighbors could house a homeless vet. Every "less-than-lethal" bullet pulled from a journalist's eye could be already needed healthcare for anyone else. All of this is a choice.

Everything that’s happened over the past six months has been a response to an imaginary crisis. There is no immigrant invasion. No trade crisis. No scientific or governance crisis. Just people completely high off their own supply trying to fundamentally reorder society. None of this had to happen.

After my break, it’s still going on. The sheriff’s dept has told ICE they’re on their own and have to figure out how to leave by themselves. They are refusing to assist. LAPD are only monitoring that the crowd doesn’t spread into other areas. The stand off continues. ICE vs LA.
