i am inviting anyone from a legacy media organization to explain to me why the house judiciary dems report on trump’s epstein’s ties and multiple allegations of rape isn’t worthy of extensively reporting on. i’m serious. i want to understand.

NEW: "Donald Trump was an active participant in Jeffrey Epstein’s sexual abuse of young women during the mid-to-late 1990s," per new House Judiciary Dem report. Report has new allegation that Trump raped a 24-year-old and then promised the victim a visa & NYU admission, demanding she stay quiet.

Some of my best experiences in “gifted” environments were when we read to or made presentations to the grades below us. We had team teaching and split grade classrooms, 1968 and thereabouts.

"But what do we do with the gifted kids, they'll just sit in class and twiddle their thumbs?" I don't know, I guess it's impossible for them to help their classmates, or work on a project in class that uses their curiosity and also teaches their classmates something. <shrug> Guess we can't!

Some front yards in Cupertino have solid signage from one lot line to the other. Neighbors compete next door to each other. It’s like a little boys’ pissing contest. And some signs will still be around in six months, usually the losers.

If you were waiting for your sign to donate to an insurgent campaign for Congress in Missouri...this is your sign. I'm current polling 5 points ahead of 14 yr incumbent Ann Wagner in a seat held by the GOP for 34 years. I need you now. We can take this across the finish line and change Missouri.

I’m sick and tired of anyone making apologies to drivers who contact their vehicles with bicyclists or pedestrians. It’s literally your job as a driver to NOT HIT THINGS.

Ryan Fonseca@ryan-fonseca.bsky.social

It's a choice (a bad one) to tell readers this driver "passed too close to cyclists" when there's video evidence showing he drove his car into them, made contact and hurt someone. Fellow journalists: we can explore the nuances of punishment for drivers without obfuscating their dangerous behavior.

Excellent essay disputes "foreign interference" explanation of Bolsonarism that many progressives subscribe to. "there is a considerable distance between demonstrating the existence of such mechanisms & attributing to them, on their own, the power to explain the choices made by millions of voters"

My advice to workers everywhere: Don’t trust your coworkers. Document your work by saving it with date stamps. I’ve come across unethical coworkers in my job, but nowadays they have better tools to steal work and disguise it as their own. If you know Git, use that for your immutable history.

I need you to know the crime of which this baby's mother had been accused: shoplifting. The cops later said the car was coming straight at them, "almost striking one"; pls recall how often law enforcement claims this & are then revealed to be liars. But this was shit from jump. And a baby's dead.

I’m old, with tons of equity and Prop 13. My education and public infrastructure was paid for by the taxes on my grandparents and parents. I won’t abandon future generations for my comfort, and I should be paying more taxes. I hate Prop 13. Mr. Warner and people like him can fuck off and die.
