This beautiful, fragile pheasant chick died a cruel death on a pheasant factory farm. She is one of many who have lost their lives because they were seen as units, products, not as live animals who can suffer. All this suffering so people can get their kicks from shooting pheasants out of the air.

Having just seen the Final of The Piano It is one of my all time favourite TV programmes - a perfect antidote to the current international zeitgeist A celebration of hope empathy and the best of humanity If you havn’t - watch the series

What is special about the number 73? It’s the number of days that the future 6th Doctor was on this planet before the future 7th arrived. Happy birthday, Sylvester And Sophie Aldred 6940 days later! 🍾🍰

Buying online has become impenetrable. You order from a company called ABC Ltd & later on get a notification from a company called DEF Ltd that your item is on the way You’ve had no previous relationship with DEF Ltd. So you don’t know which of several items you’ve ordered, they’re talking about.!

Too many former colleagues and chums leaving us Now Tom Chadbon has exited - a lovely chap and fine actor and Ronnie le Drew aka Zippy from Rainbow whom I sat next to at a Convention only a couple of weeks ago Sad sad times

We were very sorry to read of the death of Bill Oddie, who was a magnificent Red Jasper in Doctor Who and the Pirates, recorded in 2003. Our condolences to his family and friends.

I also mourn the passing of Bill Oddie whom I worked with on several occasions He was funny talented and an original Yes he could be grumpy. A characteristic I am proud to share with him. Along with his passion for wildlife. We will all miss him.

I didn’t know I had an Amazon music subscription as I have never used it, but I’ve just had to cancel it because I didn’t know I had it but I can’t find any way of telling Amazon that I have been paying for a subscription without knowing it and never using it.

GB News is trying to gut the BBC. Their radical plan would force shows like Strictly and The Traitors to be axed or hidden behind a Netflix-style paywall. Sign the petition to say NO to a BBC subscription model:

So sorry to learn that we have lost Michael Keating. A lovely man and effortlessly real actor. I think even Bayban the Butcher would mourn his passing As do I

Please, please everyone humour me The word aitch does not begin with the letter it represents any more than m is mem or n is nen H is AITCH and when I hear government ministers talking about the HAITCH ESS 2 railway project. I realise the time has come to speak out. To shout out in fact.

Much though I have enjoyed all of my many trips to the USA over forty or so years I have realised that I cannot go there any more until there is what we might call ‘regime change’ Like Iran they are killing their own citizens. Tragic

Interesting to see Inspector Morse - House of Ghosts by Alma Cullen is touring again. It was on in Oxford this week 16 years after I played that part in it at the same theatre. Good play - well worth a revival.

The advert says ‘the coolest gadgets of 2025’ and shows something that looks pretty cool, which does not figure at all on the website when you go there. I’ve fallen for it several times.! Enough already!

For years I have complained about the absence of anything in a theatre program to indicate what year the play took place in and still they don’t include the year with the date. Fine when you’re in the theatre, but not years later when you’re looking at them.

This is James and Alana Who between them ensured I was at Salisbury Comicon today when a pothole destroyed two of my tyres when I was 9 miles away! They picked me up and waited for the AA and tyre repairer 🩷
