Really enjoyed this talk from Phil Pegden on how he built Doggy Dogfight for Apple #VisionPro! A fun dive into physics, collision detection and fun Easter eggs apps.apple.com/gb/app/doggy-d...
It's always great when you have no idea what the talk title means, but @alexozun.com's talks are usually pretty mind blowing so I am excited for this one!! 🤯
@avanderlee.com is the first speaker up and talking about rediscovering a love for Swift in the age of AI. Some great tips here for both leading teams and prompting, including why technical knowledge is still incredibly valuable.
Kicking off @swiftleeds.co.uk 2026 – it's The Talk Show with @hiddevdploeg.bsky.social, @janinakutyn.bsky.social, @jordi.bsky.social, Katarina Lotrič and @seanallen.bsky.social! 🎤🧑💻
Love it when there's just an API for the complex things you're trying to do.. 😄 #ios #buildinpublic

An awesome talk from @jrothwell.bsky.social at @iosdevuk.bsky.social on why "Everyone Hates Programmers Now (but how do we fix it?)". Some really useful takeaways include viewing your whole system, avoiding giving users more admin, showing your working and adapting your app to the environment.
The lightning talks are always my favourite part of @iosdevuk.bsky.social and this year is no exception! Really interesting (and funny!) insights on Swift on Windows, A/B testing, AI-assisted development and more.

Sometimes dub dub is just great because you finally get official confirmation that the thing driving you nuts isn't a you problem 😂 #WWDC developer.apple.com/forums/th...
Ahh it's the blog post I wanted to write last year– this is awesome! 🤩
New from Mobile A11y: Generating image description alt text with Foundation Models on iOS 27 iOS 27 adds the ability to generate image descriptions on-device using Foundation Models. Here’s how to use it as a fallback when alt text is missing. mobilea11y.com/blog/ai-alt-... #accessibility #wwdc
At @swiftcraft.bsky.social this year, I made two predictions for Foundation Models: access to Private Cloud Compute models and Image inputs. It looks like both of these are now possible – along with quite a bit more! #WWDC
Really enjoyed hosting Londroid at our office last night! 🤖 My colleague Alex gave a great talk on encrypting data on Android – a super important topic to many of our clients! 🔐 youtu.be/-GdizpNVMSo
Then Vaidehi Deshpande talked about on-device AI with Gemini Nano, which was super interesting and felt very familiar after my recent SwiftCraft talk on Foundation Models for iOS. 🧠📱 youtu.be/ywosoRlroZM Can't wait to have you all back again soon!

"Engaged or enslaved?" - Driving User Engagement in Your App by @janinakutyn.bsky.social. I love this talk – the head fake has such impact.
I'm talking about Apple's Foundation Models framework at @swiftcraft.bsky.social next week. What are your favourite examples of this in apps you use?

Yay! I'm hiring two Senior Accessibility Specialists to join my team on GOV.UK One Login. You'll be working with great people, solving complex problems for tens of millions of users. Salary of £70,834 - £74,317 (London) / £63,240 - £66,610 (National). Please share!
I spend a lot of times at meet-ups and conferences and meet-ups, posting about the events. Since leaving Twitter, it's been a pain, but cross-posting/reply on Indigo is what I've been waiting for for the longest time!! Thank you @soapboxsoftware.bsky.social, @benricem.bsky.social & @vegh.ca!! 💕
Great to be back at @nslondon.com. This time we're at JustPark– looking forward to some great talks!

Looking forward to getting back on stage next week! 🎤 last time I gave this talk was the week after Dub dub, this time it's two weeks before, let's see how well it ages 😅 hachyderm.io/@swiftcraft/1165...

> You would think AI could create secure, random, and strong passwords… Why would one think that the autocomplete machine, designed to give likely responses to a given input, would return something unique, with high entropy? I am glad that this piece advocates for using a proper password manager.

Better get racing — we can't allow @strasser.bsky.social to win any more things!! 😆
Having so much fun with RetroRapid! Get it on the AppStore and try beating my score 🏎️ apps.apple.com/at/app/retro...
I didn't get around to live-posting @arcticconference.bsky.social yesterday, but @bennokress.de & I collaborated on notes from the talks! github.com/Oliver-Binns.... I particularly loved Automating Accessibility by @khanlou.bsky.social, I will be checking out Accessibility Snapshot when I get home!
After lunch @danijelavrzan.com just spoke about how SwiftUI feels magical, but it’s magic lives in rules that we can’t see. Some great top tips for minimising frustration here!
Fantastic lessons on “Making Things People Remember” by @flarup.bsky.social, including design for retelling, take one idea further than feels reasonable, add a detail that has no functional justification and over invest in first impressions.
Next is @frederik.riedel.wtf to tell us how he scaled his indie app One Sec from one user to a million hourly users without investors!
@janinakutyn.bsky.social just gave a really powerful talk about driving user engagement ethically when 70% of users say they spend too much time on their devices. Focus less on session frequency and daily opens and more on meaningful interactions and task completion.
First up is @johnsundell.bsky.social talking about interoperability between SwiftUI and UIKit. I learnt a lot here because I still almost exclusively use UIKit 😅
@quentinfasquel.bsky.social is taking us on a journey through ‘The Wonderful World of Private APIs’ entirely for ‘educational curiosity’ he says…
I love this place and the conference hasn’t even started yet! 🇫🇮🏂🌅 @arcticconference.bsky.social
