Hello Jen. You are not alone in this journey. You've got this. You can do it. There are good days and bad days. Yet our mindset can support us in overcoming life challenges. I'm sure you've overcome before! Remember those times AND the feelings you had when you accomplish hard things! Thrive on that

Just finished watching a super sweet movie on Hulu called Nutcrackers, starring Ben Stiller. He plays a guy who has to care for his 4 orphaned nephews after his sister died. Great soundtrack, excellent acting and direction, really tugs at the heart strings. I rate it 9 out of 10.👍

We are EXTREMELY lucky to have excellent insurance right now only having to pay $2K of a $768,000 surgery bill that was out of state. Im thinking of how much testing i can get done now before insurance restarts in July (we are july to july) 😭

Don’t pile on Jack Smith for voluntarily dismissing charges against Trump without prejudice. It means the new Trump AG can’t come in and kill the cases on Trump’s terms. Smart move by Smith that preserves options for later.

In 2018 Dems elected the largest class to Congress since Watergate, ~60 seats. A lot of it was, yes, Trump backlash. But the winners also had another thing in common, despite a wide range of differences: most rejected corporate PAC money. It’s a hugely compelling factor to voters & underdiscussed

I think the Dems need to field gruff corruption busters at all levels whose primary campaign response to culture war issues is “All Americans should enjoy the freedom and bounty of this great country. That won’t be possible so long as venal men impoverish you and loot the country of your wealth”

Time to give @bluesky props. As I write this, there are 560 quotes and replies to the post below. Of those only 4 call me names and give me shit. About 15 do the same towards Trump. The remaining 541 are on topic and add value. 👏👏👏👏👏

It’s a battle of political leverage. Who can use tariffs, retaliatory tariffs or sanctions to create more political pain for the other leader. Forcing them to capitulate or face undesired consequences. How crazy would it be if China, Mexico and/or Canada initiated tariffs before Trump took office

republicans take immense pleasure in the suffering and misery of others, there is an intentional anti-social quality in many rightwing americans

Spending a month on Bluesky has created a whole new model of a fight we need to be having right now. Not liberal vs. conservative or whatever, but respect vs manipulation. I am tired of being manipulated everywhere I go. That’s why I like it here, I feel like I’m in charge for once.
