BREAKING: NYT Confirms Trump Is Supervising Kennedy Center Tarp Removal As His Agents Appear to Be Indicating It May Stay Up Indefinitely—Effectively Taking *Kennedy's* Name Off the Center As Well As Trump's in One of the Most Petty and Vindictive Acts Ever Taken By Any President

I'm hardly the first person to note this, but it's enormously instructive that our President and his followers saw the message "THE ONLY THING MORE POWERFUL THAN HATE IS LOVE" and understood it, correctly, as an attack on them

What a moment.

No context or original post needed.

The fact that we are numb to an almost 80 year told President talking like this on social media shows how far removed we are from normalcy. We’ve lost so much under Trump, but decorum, class, and dignity are some of the things I miss most.

I just watched a story about a teacher in Idaho fighting back after being forced to take down a sign that said, "Everyone is Welcome Here." This kind of stuff is beyond STUPID. If someone is offended by a "Everyone is Welcome Here" sign, they have psychological issues that need to be dealt with.

Apple, Amazon, Disney, Comcast, Warner Bros. Discovery and IBM have all started advertising on Elon Musk's hate platform again since he became shadow President of the US. They all originally suspended ads in 2023 due to hate content. The platform hosts more hate today than it did then.

"I want to extend my tremendous gratitude to black Americans for all they have done to bring us to this moment, and for the many future contributions they will make as we advance into a future of limitless possibility under my Administration." So, capitalize "administration" but not "Black"?

Also, of course, no mention of any historical persecution, racism, slavery, any of that. Just positive patriots doing positive things under the amazing guidance of the Trump Administration. We'll just erase everything else, yeah?

I'm not sure I follow this talk of"unity" and "coming together as a county" when the political conversation has been nothing but division and hate and spiteful self-satisfied rage coming from the right since their election win. But bow before the King, I guess?

Individual sleighs are an inherently inefficient and irresponsible way to deliver presents. Santa should use high-speed rail, public transit, and an e-bike.

If you add more lanes for Santas, it doesn’t solve Santa congestion. It just induces more Santas. It’s a thoroughly documented fact. It’s called Induced Santas, or the Irrefutable Law of Santa Congestion. Wait, did I say Santas? I meant cars. #InducedDemand #LawOfCongestion #MerryChristmas #Santa

The pain, not high quality government services, is the point. The people who are willing to sacrifice time, money, and resources to feed the machine get to stay; the people who value quality of life over commute times and waste get to find another job. Quality of work is an afterthought here.

Ah yes, the Democrats have been capable of committing fraud all along, but we decided to *only* use it for one random House race, while allowing ourselves to lose the Senate, House, and White House. Airtight logic.

🧵, absolutely worth the read. I am so glad this man is with us.

I have faced fascism before, in this very country. I was one of 120,000 Japanese Americans summarily rounded up and expelled from our homes at gunpoint, all for the crime of looking like the people who bombed Pearl Harbor. I spent my childhood behind barbed wire. My parents lost everything. 1/

Stephen King, master of the horror novel, just quit Twitter because it'd become too "dark." That's how horrifying Twitter is right now. There may never be a more perfect expression of this fact.

You are up to date.
