Everyone should watch this. Jeremy Scahill excoriates Ro Khanna's performative position in which he says Israel is committing genocide but Palestinians have no right to resistance and the Iron Dome should still be funded.
If every journalist asked lawmakers the kind of tough, evidence-based questions Jeremy Scahill and Mehdi Hasan ask, those in power would find it much harder to evade accountability. And we'd all be better off for it.

Checks and balances only work when you have honorable people in government. This supposes that we have an electorate that can tell the difference. Over the years, we have become a nation with a high percentage of sheep that can't distinguish between a border collie and a wolf. 😒

As spectacular as it will be the day he is gone, and that cannot happen soon enough, there will remain the residual and the constant reminder of the people who supported, defended, encouraged, welcomed, covered for and voted for – this. That’s unfortunate. Money can’t buy class.

It’s truly astonishing to see how comprehensively the US government is tearing down every part of the system that has made it up until now a world-leading power in science, research, and technological development. The entire world will suffer from this wanton destruction.
