The trip home from Spiel Essen isn't going quite as smoothly as the trip there. 28 hours traveling and have only gotten from Dusseldorf to London. But the plane is here 🤞🤞🤞

The most excited news from Day #1 at Spiel Essen? The amazing ❤️ response we got for our new game Viking Traders . At the beginning of the day, there were only 25 ratings on BGG. Today we got 10 new ratings - 9 of which were from game plays at Spiel Essen. One 10 One 9 One 8.5 Five 8's One 7 One 6

Without a doubt, our number one game on Day 1 at Spiel Essen was Cat Earth #CatEarth At one point in time we had 10 games of Cat Earth being played at the same time.

Day 1 at Spiel Essen off to a great start. All 9 of our demo tables are occupied. Aisles are packed. All is good.

Now en route to Spiel Essen. Very excited 😊 ... other than the long flight of course.

Look what came in the mail today! Super exciting!! Check out the inside back cover of GAMA's newest edition of Around The Table. We will be bringing demo copies of Viking Traders to Essen Spiel and Pax Unplugged.

Exciting news about #Essen2026 Last year was out first time exhibiting at Essen Spiel. We were buried in Hall 5 and were hard to find. Well... this year we are moving to Hall 6. Hall 6 is great. There are some large players in Hall 6 like Blue Orange, Piatnik, Huch, Iello, Gigamic, and Carletto.

In 2021 we manufactured 1,476 units of Goderich-Opoly, all of which were shipped to retailers in Goderich. It's a small town on the shores of Lake Huron, population circa 8,500. I checked. It's just over 4,000 km away from where I live. How does Goderich-Opoly end up in a local thrift store???

I've been contemplating this list since I posted it a few hours ago. While we have offices in the US and UK, we are based in Canada (founded 30 years ago in Victoria, BC). Interestingly, only 2 of our top 15 games at #UKGE2026 were designed by North American inventors. Interesting observation.
