"Who is it that has been radicalised, here?"

flyingrodent@flyingrodent.bsky.social

โ€œIsrael is a very racist country, its government routinely commits horrific crimesโ€ was a humdrum opinion, fifteen years ago: never uncontroversial, but well within mainstream though. Now, our whole political/media class believes it is insanely extreme. Who is it that has been radicalised, here?

Muslims and immigrants, despite all the lies we're told about them, have never presented a systemic threat to Western security, let alone to "Western civilisation". Instead, the threats come from our governments, especially in the US, and their grim alliances with capital and overseas dictators.

I have an old 1935 UK crown coin. It's almost black with age. Does anyone know how I should clean it? I'm not bothered about its value (it doesn't have much), I just want to clean it up without scouring the metal. Any ideas, please? ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ‘

So, Farage has reported ITV to the police following the work their undercover journalists did which confirmed that Reform is indeed a seething mass of racism, misogyny and bigotry. Meanwhile, hereโ€™s some commentary from Private Eye and their handy guide to undercover journalists.

I am writing about the history of autism as a diagnosis, & while a lot of autistic people have heard that Simon Baron-Cohen's theories around Extreme Male Brain & impaired Theory of Mind were flawed, very few know *why* they're flawed, beyond their being on the face of it, silly & reductive.

The Energy Secretary says North Sea drilling โ€œwonโ€™t take a penny off energy bills.โ€ The Health Secretary says summer heatwaves put pressure on the NHS. So whereโ€™s the Governmentโ€™s impact assessment? If they donโ€™t have one, they should delay the decision on drilling for oil & gas until they do.

Heat pumps ARE defence. We are fighting a war against fossil-fuel backed petrostates whose Achilles heel is our energy independence. Dear tv and radio producers. Thankyou for the invitation. But, no, I do not want to appear on your show to defend the idea that I am English, after 50 years of living and working here, because the increasingly feral right want to turn this into a "debate" and you cannot see how you're being played
