We’re 11 days out from what could be the most consequential midterm election in American history. Whether the fascists consolidate control of our government or We The People win back power comes down to what we do over the next week and a half.

The public concerns that prompted our original letter remain unresolved. Tens of millions of Americans rely on Meta's platforms to organize, communicate, receive election information, and talk to their friends and family.

Donald Trump is terrified of voters holding his party accountable for enabling his disastrous policies. He lost dozens of lawsuits challenging his 2020 election failure, and I hope that this anti-democratic lawsuit is also laughed out of court.

It’s a radical departure from decades of legal precedent and violates the Fifth Amendment of the Constitution, which protects everyone. This ruling leaves tens of thousands of people imprisoned without the government ever having to say why. It is wrong, and we will keep fighting.

Today, the Fifth Circuit stripped immigrants facing detention in Texas, Louisiana, and Mississippi of their right to due process. People who have lived in our communities for years, even decades, can now be locked away with no chance to see a judge or ask for bond.

I had a wonderful time this week visiting the bioengineering labs at @stanfordpress.bsky.social to see some of the cutting edge research they’re doing on plant and fungal biotech. The work that’s being done here is an important part of maintaining America’s scientific and agricultural leadership.

The Trump admin could have challenged voter rolls months ago. Their timing says this is just a political trick, not legit concern. They don’t care if they are disproven after the election is over—just like “caravans of criminals” who disappeared once election day passed.

🚨BREAKING: The Department of Justice (DOJ) is asking a federal court to immediately prevent California from counting the ballots of 20,000 people the Trump administration has accused of being noncitizens who illegally registered to vote. www.democracydocket.com/news-alerts/...

If you want know who Jon Husted is fighting for, just look at who’s been funding his campaigns: - Epstein Co-Conspirators: $116,000 - Big Oil: $191,000 - Data center industry: $636,000 - Health insurance companies: $679,000 - FirstEnergy: $3.5 million - Big Tech: $45 million

The controversy, Joe says, will only remind voters of the Epstein files. Acton has said her mother stood by and fled the state with her stepfather after he was charged with raping Amy as a child.

Since last Saturday, Meta executives have given vague & shifting answers for why the No Kings Instagram was taken down at the height of the protests.   Today, I'm calling on Meta to come clean.   Is Meta intentionally censoring speech? Americans deserve answers.

newrepublic.comVan Hollen Demands Answers Over No Kings’ Blocked AccountsIn a letter shared exclusively with The New Republic, Senator Chris Van Hollen condemned multiple errors at Meta that have affected left-wing groups and individuals.
Senator Chris Van Hollen@vanhollen.senate.gov

Unacceptable. Meta took down the No Kings Instagram today and kept it offline for well over an hour. Censoring free speech to appease Donald Trump? We the people deserve answers, but regardless, we will not be silenced.

I’m watching Trump at this press briefing praise Amy Acton’s abusive mom and calling her an honest woman. He’s a sick and small man. And he will be remembered as the worst person to ever serve as president.

We honor Emiliano and others who have died while in ICE custody since the start of Trump's second term, and commit to holding the lawless and reckless Trump regime accountable. Today, we ensure Emiliano will not be forgotten.

Emiliano Andrade-Covarrubias has died at a GEO-owned for-profit concentration camp in Texas. DHS denied him life saving medication, including for heart disease after he complained of chest tightness and trouble breathing. Emiliano was a father, husband, son who deserved dignity and due process.
