It's always good when a traveler returns home to give an inspiring sermon. Welcome back! Derry Presbyterian Church morning sketches. www.jillpeckelun.com
White Cat, 8 x 8", oil with cold wax on cradled wood panel. Painted over the course of this month at our family farm. Every now and then we do a piece that isn't for sale...🖌️🩵 www.jillpeckelun.com
Frances Drost was the pianist and highlight of today's service at Derry Presbyterian Church I couldn't see her though from where I was sitting so I drew these other people. 😊 www.jillpeckelun.com
It was quite peaceful yesterday when I sat in our churchyard and sketched . Future painting shaping up well. 🖌️🩵 Derry Presbyterian Church www.jillpeckelun.com

I'm cold and my nose is running. Gathering future painting details like a squirrel gathers nuts. Morning sketches at Bullfrog Valley Park... www.jillpeckelun.com
Female cardinal, ink and colored pencils. Reference photo generously provided by Kathie Pateras. Drawing on a windowseat with Sunny snoring at my feet is such a nice way to spend the morning. Morning sketches... www.jillpeckelun.com
Morning sketches... It's been awhile since I posted drawings. Got caught up in deep cleaning the attic last month and the basement this month. I feel so accomplished and smug. www.jillpeckelun.com
Morning sketches at Derry Presbyterian Church Another on point sermon to help me navigate these troubling times. The phrase that stayed with me: "When you realize that the rabbit isn't real..." www.jillpeckelun.com

Sketching by a creek to work out possibilities for an upcoming painting. The artist's life is a good one. Best part? Listening to the water whisper as it goes by me. www.jillpeckelun.com
When Movement finds You, 6 x 6", oil. Been enjoying making some small paintings lately. www.jillpeckelun.com
When it's time to Plant Seeds, 20 x 20", oil. I painted this earlier this season on location although I added the starlings in the studio. I went out today but it ended up being a "let's not waste any more paint on this" sort of effort and scraped it off. It happens. www.jillpeckelun.com
When All Roads Lead Home, 8 x 8", oil with cold wax on cradled wood panel. I painted this on location at Englewood restaurant. Thankfully they didn't seem to mind. Took a few compositional liberties. www.jillpeckelun.com

When You Come to the Edge, 12 x 12", oil with cold wax on cradled wood panel (with bear). The weather has been perfect this week for painting outside. I didn't really see a bear but I was in some pine woods. www.jillpeckelun.com
Just a few days left for my exhibition with Louise Thomas at the Carlisle Arts Learning Center in Carlisle, PA. Who knew that an exhibition of black and white photographs and brightly colored abstracted oil paintings would work so well together? www.jillpeckelun.com
Last Call under a Harvest Moon, oil with cold wax on cradled wood panel, 24 x 12". This is a painting about the night sky and backyard scenery during late evening doggo potty breaks. I wrote a blog about it all at www.jillpeckelun.com
