Gen Z readers suddenly found comic shops over the last two years, says Griepp. Stories were the key driver. Manga sales were up across channels.

the old guard to their credit is only aware of their own sales, their comics though incredible at times simply haven’t captured genZ so of course the few titles they sell in comic shops are not making sales

- oppression can not be quantified like points in a game. It cannot be measured against more oppression. Nobody wins when someone is being stepped on by the systems that govern them. The mere fact that we have so many wonderful trans people in the space in defiance of that is worth celebrating -

- That said I think that having more voices and the perspectives they will inherently have could only help build our space up. I have a few ideas of how to play this. I'm sure you'll here more from me. If you are a trans-woman making comics in Scotland email me

- I am wondering what I can do for my peoples to make our perspectives more heard. I think that trans women have it hard in the media right now and the encouragement they might need to come up is not there. That is also no to diminish what trans-men, trans-mascs and non-binary people are facing -

I have faced a few micro aggressions from people in every position in my time in the space and I wonder if that kind of behaviour from a group that is largely excepting might be what is stopping some people.
