Beautiful morning swim. 12c in the lake. Some harmless moon jellyfish there too. #Photography #ColdWaterDipping

There maybe an #Aurora. Get out there and be weird in front of the wonders of the universe. This is proof to my older, and current self that I've lived and had fun.

Recently on my neuroqueer newsletter, why disabled people sometimes need the technology everyone else fears. Thoughts on the new #AppleWatch. "When accessibility looks like surveillance." Read and subscribe: pete.news/hellocomputer/when-...

Recently on my neuroqueer newsletter, I've thinking about how AI could be a bridge between #autistic me and the rest of the world. "How AI is becoming the ultimate assistive tool for navigating a neurotypical world." Read and subscribe: pete.news/hellocomputer/ai-au...

Apple Watch features for the #deaf folk are a good idea, but I can't see them working in practice. I've tried using iOS Live Transcribe and Hearing Buddy in spaces and they're bad. I'm moderately deaf so I can just about get by, but if I relied on these features I wouldn't know wtf was going on.

New Apple Watch HRV tracking will mean you don't need to buy a Visible band or Garmin for Body Battery tracking if you're needing a device to pace with and like wearing an Apple Watch. Useful.

This week on HelloComputer I've written about the #deaf experience of losing hearing and connection with the world. "Fading Out - My hearing is going, and so, it turns out, is my connection to everyone I love" Read and subscribe: pete.news/hellocomputer/fadin...

I'm thinking of moving my #Ghost newsletter back to #Substack. Despite my last post on there being "I've left", I seem to get *more* subscribers from Substack to a dead newsletter than to my actual live one. Almost 0 growth in years from being out standing in a field, alone with my principles. 🤷

Apple Intelligence photo editing. Nope. Sometimes life is random, messy and complex. Better to learn how to deal with that than assume you can fix everything in post after. #WWDC26

What happens when we AI gen so much that our phones can't tell us what's real anymore? Our devices show us highlights of events that never happened day after day, and use all that fakery to build new models of our lives? Is the future gaslighting AI? "You clearly did that. Here's a photo" #WWDC26

The good taxpayers of New York have given me a pair of Meta glasses because I am low vision disabled, and I seem to have used them more than a lot of people on here, so let me say a little about my experiences:

Ohhh I'm slowly getting my head around Notion. It's good, maybe even actually useful once the ADHD curiosity has worn off. Currently got a table for commissioned work that is organised into a dashboard showing upcoming/in progress/to invoice work. Almost a CRM but one that works for me.
