I really cannot stress enough how happy this new Castlevania game is making me - it’s good as a standalone; AND whenever I see little lore drops that overwrite the terrible Netflix shows, it gives me the same delight as the “Rey is the Emperor’s descendant” twist did!

I really underestimated how much a new (and GOOD) Castlevania game would lessen the amount of vitriol I can muster up for the shitty Netflix shows. I guess my irritation that those shows would be the last official media we got from the story was really driving me nuts.
