In Toronto Municipal elections, people usually concentrate on the Mayoral race, and don't pay as much attention to the council seat. I just discovered the Candidate Tracker at thelocal.to/candidate-tr... which lets you look at all the candidates in your ward, and learn about their platforms.

thelocal.toCandidate Tracker: Toronto Election 2026 | The LocalThe only place to find reported, fact-checked biographies and platform summaries for every candidate running in the 2026 Toronto municipal election.

This is sad news.

I am hearing news that actor Stephen Flett has died. A veteran of at least 7 Toronto Fringe Festivals (according to the Toronto Theatre Database), he was as much a fan of the Fringe as he was a participant. It will be sad to not see him in the Fringe tent again.

As I start planning my new few weeks of Stageworthy, I realize that I haven't been able to feature as many theatre artists from the prairie provinces, or Quebec as I would like. So, if you know a theatre maker from those provinces, please suggest them to me, so I can feature them on the podcast!

Once again, the only things that get done in this province are the things that benefit Doug or his donors. Apparently, the rest of us can kick rocks.

Still thinking about Riot King's The Moors at @thetheatrecentre last night. It was funny and horrifying and wonderful all at once. I highly recommend it, if you're looking for some good Toronto Theatre.

Hey, so if Avi Lewis is already generating obvious concern among media pundits, old guard former NDP leaders, and provincial NDP who embrace Lib/Con lite policies, he's probably onto something very important.

The fact that no one named in the Epstein files has been arrested or investigates for raping children is unconscionable. If the billionaire class is that immune to consequences, then perhaps it's time for a French solution (if you get my meaning).

Submitted a play I have been working on for some time to a theatre company. Instead of sitting and waiting, I'm going to start work on a zombie horror genre play.

I look forward to this guys crimes against humanity trial.

Stephen Miller: "The human rights that we are gonna protect are not of the savages that torture and rape and murder. The human rights we are going to protect are of the peaceable citizens who have an absolute human right to live in physical safety and security every day of their lives."

What does Doug Ford want exactly? Is he working to make life better for regular Ontarians? Or is his goal to squeeze as much money out of the Province to enrich his wealthy friends? No spoiler: its the second one. Every choice he makes is based on how how he can make his friends richer.

Alberta is about to post a budget with a massive deficit, and they are going to try to blame Ottawa for that. But the purse strings start and end with the provincial government. They are going to use the deficit and the austerity that will follow to stoke their anti-Canada sentiments.

Doug Ford has never had to work for anything in his life. How could he understand how changes to OSAP would affect students? How can he understand how his underfunding healthcare affects patients? He's a rich guy who came from a rich family. He doesn't understand and he doesn't care.

When an AI CEO tells us that one day their product will do something, we should immediately call BS. They are simply trying to prop up their dying product with the promise of something that will never be. They and their shareholders benefit from false promises, the rest of us should be skeptical.

If health care in Ontario is unsustainable, its because Doug Ford wants it that way. He's under funded our health services for his entire tenure as premier, all so that he can introduce a private health care option that will benefit his cronies. globalnews.ca/news/1166965...

globalnews.caOntario finance minister says rate of health-care spending is ‘unsustainable’ | Globalnews.caIn the buildup to the 2026 budget, Doug Ford's finance minister is raising concerns about the sustainability of health-care spending in Ontario.

Pedos, all of them. Charge them. Arrest them. String them up.

RFK Jr argues here that old men need to have s3x with underage girls to “save the species” for two old men standing next to him. THIS is now their pivot. They’ve been outted as p3dos now and they need to shift the goalposts. Don’t let them wiggle away! 😡🤬

If any of these people actually cared about that they would arrest Trump and everyone else in those files.

*sigh* Another American at the head of a Canadian arts institution. So disappointing.

What a lackluster season from Mirvish Productions. A Karate Kid musical? 13 Going on 30, the musical? I'm so bored of the movie to musical pipeline. The only interesting shows (IMO) are Operation: Mincemeat and Salesman in China. www.thestar.com/entertainmen...

I think the term "American Exceptionalism" is stupid anyway. Why try to be so stuck up?? Every country has their strengths and weaknesses Anyway PLEASE RELEASE WHATEVER YOU HAVE THIS IS WHAT PUTIN HAS ON HIM

This rehabilitation of Stephen Harper is a joke. He is (and has been since 2018) the Chairman of the IDU, which supports right-wing governments all around the world. They have aided the resurgence of fascism throughout the world, and as the Chair, Harper has had a direct hand in this.

Apparently they are turning The Lost Boys into a musical. Of course, the most important question, is how will they handle the most important character in the film? Of course, I'm talking about saxophone guy.

What does sustainable theatre look like beyond major cities? 🎭 On Stageworthy, Phil Rickaby talks with Tim Porter, founding Artistic Director of Tweed & Company Theatre, about building a professional company in a rural community — and why serving audiences matters more than chasing prestige.

So, a lot of powerful and rich people visited Epstein's island and did unspeakable things to children, and there are not going to be any consequences for that? They just get to go on as if its business as usual? Do I have that right? 😡

In a normal world, the fact of a name being in the Epstein files would be enough to bring someone down. Every person named must be investigated. Every person named needs to be shunned at the very least. Ever person who harmed children must be prosecuted. Regardless of who they are.

Phil Rickaby reposted

If all these oligarchs named in the Epstein Files are totally innocent, surely they’d be in favor of an independent investigation into Epstein’s crimes. Right?

Phil Rickaby reposted

The Epstein Files reveal that the world's most wealthy and powerful men are either raping girls OR have absolutely no problem with other perverted men raping and trafficking girls as long as it helps their bottom line. I can only hope this infuriates the majority against the elite.

This isn’t about convicting Don Lemon. It’s unlikely that will happen. It’s about intimidating journalists & making them censure themselves out of fear of consequences. It’s about eroding the free press because the administration can’t afford the criticism.

Brian Stelter@brianstelter.bsky.social

This just in: "Don Lemon was taken into custody by federal agents last night in Los Angeles, where he was covering the Grammy awards," Lemon's attorney Abbe Lowell says.

This is why we need more support in Canada for Canadian-owned media.

Pay attention folks. Danielle Smith and the Alberta MAGA machine are using the Donbas playbook. This isn't about "independence" it is about sedition and subservience to Trump.

The only proper response Dems should be giving is: Defund and prosecute. America needs a real alternative to conservatism, because the Democrats aren't it.

Gotta love how these Americans go to other countries and tell them how they should feel.
