Carney highlights the Indigenous consultation done ahead of this decision to list a crude oil pipeline in the national interest. Which is interesting, because the National Chief of the AFN has explicitly said the major projects office “don’t know what they’re doing when it comes to First Nations.”

My question about the disconnect between Carney’s rhetoric and his actual policies is this: If he stands by his agenda and thinks Canadians will accept what he’s doing, why does he feel the need to try to mislead us about the actual impacts of his policies?
