Point me to the textbook where "sex" is defined as something different from "gender". They mean the same thing in both scientific and common usage. Explain to me what makes someone a "biological" this or that. We're all biological, mate.

People are desperate to find some means of expressing the sentiment that trans people specifically should be excluded from something without actually saying that, and it can't be done. You can't throw in "biological fe/males" or "biological sex" or anything like that as if these are neutral terms.
