Last Sunday I helped my beautiful friend peacefully move on. It's estimated he spent over 15 years in this world, 12.5 of which I was lucky enough to be a part of. Thank you for everything Marker, I love you and I will miss you.

Yankees are in their longest championship drought in over a century. News worth spreading!

Social media loves talking about how everything is getting worse. But what’s something that you’ve seen get _better_ in your lifetime?

Some want a sweep That'd make me weep From wherever come the runs I just hope both sides have fun

Michael Fusella supported President Trump for nearly a decade. But as the Iran war drags on and the cost of living continues to climb, the 21-year-old Republican said he feels betrayed by a president who said he’d end overseas conflicts and lower prices.

Low key underrated scene in You Can See Everything: Nathan Fielder - a known Mets fan - wears a Dodgers cap in one scene where he's trying to lay low. Our curse has been transferred to the SoCal boys in blue.

One metal magazine of the 90s actually coined the phrase "Hetfield Effect" to describe the tendency of rockers to switch from "anti-war / anti-establishment" to "patriotic / conservative" pretty much the second they passed draft age

"You hear Alex Call came out against that Sidney Sweeney Novig ad?" "Oh cool, he's against gambling that destroys lives?" "Well no" "Oh I see, he thinks Sweeney's a right wing tool for chuds" "Um" "Oh right, he opposes the objectification of women, thinks it's not feminist" "Not exactly..."

Even if you had no idea about Metallica being a famous band and knew nothing about its members or Napster, James Hatfield is one of those guys you can spot on the street and pretty confidently say "oh yeah that guy's a total douche, I'd bet my life savings on it". I mean just look at him lol.

"You should come to a show to avoid politics & not push political agendas!" Usually when this gets said? The person turns out to be an undercover red hat...you'd kinda have to be to make St Anger. share.google/m43xIJqrPPw5...

It's nice to see that Drake Maye's surgery was a success, where they took the parts of his brain dedicated to analyzing conspiracies and moved them to the part dedicated to doing football.

I know I'm getting old when projects like this are finally getting green lit to capitalize off my young teen/childhood nostalgia. I was 11 when WC3 originally released and blew my mind.

I'm sorry but the whole concept of this White Sox-Guardians elimination game kind of sucks. 85 vs 84 win team, gimme a break, we should just abolish the AAAL Central.

There are a lot of guys where everything I know about them has been against my will, but of those, Michael Tracey may very well be the most one of those guys.

Today at Market Basket the janitor was wearing a Yankees cap, he comes up behind me while I'm at the Deli and sees my hat and goes, "well it's the Mets but I appreciate you". I think he mistook the city connect colors for the Yankees lol. I was just, "sorry about last night" and he said "thanks".

This post has depressed me so much I've decided I'll just accept the cancer and be done with it.

The estimated lifespan of the outer solar system has been downgraded from 100 billion years to just a few billion years, according to a study that probed “terminal instability” during the Sun’s death.

I haven't seen anyone mention that cab drivers in London famously have to take a test proving they know all the streets in the city. It's hard, you have to be smart to pass it, cab drivers are highly respected as a result. No GPS required. I feel like these are all good things.

We've entered the best 1.5 weeks of the baseball season, the early playoffs, where 12 teams enter carrying the hopes & dreams of millions of fans only to have 8 of them disappoint in the most merciless of ways. oh the glorious concentrated suffering as fans learn the brutal reality of elimination.

Just got back from watching Primetime and I enjoyed the movie but two things bother me: A.) How did I not know Deion Sanders had a side hustle exposing sexual predators on cable TV? B.) Great as he was, having a white guy actor in the role was kind of inappropriate.

I have been living in the land of existential dread for too long, I think it's time to pivot to it's more fun, more carefree and irresponsible younger cousin, absurdism.

Somehow it was never impressed upon me as a child the level to which condensation would show up as a regular obstacle to keeping an orderly home, and how frustrating it'd be. It's literally liquid that can seep through solid glass, like wtf sorcery is going on here.

turning a big dial taht says "liver damage" on it and constantly looking back at the audience for approval like a contestant on the price is right

Men will literally rage themselves into a stroke over every Alonso dong instead of going to therapy.

every home run that pete alonso hits makes me hate david stearns even more

As much as I love Pete Alonso and think he's a great guy, it puzzles me the way so many Mets fans seem more attached to him than Lindor and Soto. Yeah, they weren't raised by the Mets, but they chose them. Pete chose to leave. I know it's a job to them all but at the end of the day, facts are facts.

What I hate most about this world is the way it constantly teases you with optimism to think things could be ok, only to always sadistically rip the rug out. At least in Lake of Fire land it's terrible all the time, u get used to it. "Check the weather today?" "Yep, raining fire again." "Cool."

Obviously it's always gonna be the latter cause anyone selling you a solution will go out of business real quick.

Technology Connections@techconnectify.bsky.social

"Are you selling me a solution or a dependency?" is a question I think more people should ask.
