@g0wat.bsky.social unpacked a crate from the garage…and found this😳! Forgot I’d even bought one. What can I say…I’m a danger to my own wallet 🙄

endorse. we live or die together with our trans siblings and fuck every one of these cretins for forgetting about that.

The elections are on next Tuesday, and so much is at stake, including the soul of the Democratic Party when it comes to transgender people. I am asking you to leave a very small number of races blank in which a Democrat has embraced extreme anti-trans hate. I make my case here.

Yes! Diversity makes us better, kinder, stronger, more resilient.

I’m a White person who doesn’t want to live in a nation made up of nothing but White people. I have no interest in seeing us become a gated community of inbred, entitled supremacy that cuts itself off from an expansive world it believes itself superior to. johnpavlovitz.substack.com/p/im-a-white...

I saw someone name this week as the beginning of a long "monsoon season" in the security world and boy I hope they're wrong.

70 percent of the internet was vulnerable yesterday to very bad security flaws inside a coding language. Turns out, *one volunteer* is mostly responsible for maintaining that code & helping push updates. Yesterday Ondřej Surý saved the internet. So I called him up www.theatlantic.com/technology/2...

I see we're having a debate about whether it's okay to go back to "X," the site owned by a trillionaire fascist who is currently bankrolling the GOP's midterm, throttled Ukraine's war effort, and still winkingly allows vast amounts of CSAM on his service Answer: No, what the fuck is wrong with you

Banned Books Week is almost over! The Trump administration had at least 596 books removed from schools serving military families. Don’t forget to get out there and read some of the books they tried to keep off the shelves. Happy Banned Books Week!

A tiny bit of gentle advice for the men: before you try to explain or pontificate anything about the Cornell 7 to a woman, please remember chances are she’s already an expert 🙏🏻

At the intermission, we had carrot parts, silly string and a banana water pistol strewn about the stage. Not in my wildest dreams did I see such a wild, sexy, hilariously entertaining show.

there are few things more insidious than online betting apps. you cannot work for these companies and be a good person.

Then there’s mobile sports betting, which I think is an absolute scourge on society. www.liberalcurrents.com/portraits-of...

All I want is a seaside cottage, the distant rumble of thunder, a vintage mystery novel, a kettle on the stove, a comfortable reading chair, a crackling fire, a raven keeping watch, and a basket of freshly-baked emotional support scones.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, but in my family, we are aware of it all of the time. So, to all of my sisters here... Please continue to do those self-exams, and get a mammogram, especially if you are overdue for one. I want you around for a long, long time.

this x1000. if I'm not writing to my elected officials asking them to ease off then we haven't gone far enough.

This is absolutely correct, but I worry that "truth and reconciliation" will sound too foreign to Americans who have long been allergic to truth and/or reconciliation. I'd just say "we're finally going to hold people who broke the law and violated the Constitution accountable for their crimes"

Classic!

Years ago, I remember someone writing a screed about someone Carly Simon befriended on an AOL board. She responded with one word, "Goodness." Some drunk stayed up all night to write a loooooong email about how horrible I was. I responded, "Goodness." It drove him crazy. Thank you, Carly Simon.
