Trump officially rolled back fuel efficiency standards today. The new target for 2031 is about 34.5 miles per gallon, down from 50.4. That means more gas burned, more pollution, and more money out of drivers’ pockets. So much for making things affordable.

Happy Trans Day of Visibility from the Supreme Court who have decided the best way to mark the occasion is to issue a near unanimous decision that a state's efforts to shield trans and queer youth from psychological torture in the form of conversion therapy somehow violates the First Amendment.

The only ruling from #SCOTUS today is in Chiles v. Salazar. For an 8-1 majority (with only Justice Jackson dissenting), Justice Gorsuch holds that the lower courts failed to apply sufficiently rigorous scrutiny to a First Amendment challenge to Colorado's ban on conversion therapy, and remands:

Remember that time Trump said the U.S. military should use “dangerous” American cities as “training grounds” for troops? What do you think that training was for? He’s been planning on occupying Venezuela indefinitely. Venezuela is rich with heavy crude, and oil like that doesn’t extract fast.
