Lacrosse guy, but no one seems to talk about sports here, so I guess I'm here for the political news? Maybe some finance and economics stuff too? I made @8sites.top

If someone figures out a way for me to be able to drive to the data center and physically take home one of the GPUs in the event of default, there is definitely a number at which buying distressed GPU backed bonds starts to look attractive

What a win for the Badgers. I had complete faith and never said anything negative during that game about Luke Fickell and Colton Joseph

The bringing iced coffee to a job interview discourse is just coaches not recruiting players who wear tights under their shorts at cold weather recruiting events for the masses

Wouldn’t it just save everyone a bunch of money, time and effort to at least try to set up business agent to agent text communications rather than having them use actual telephones? Like what are we doing here?

Were we supposed to wait until middle age to do this?

Matt Brown@mattbrown.bsky.social

When some men hit middle age, they decide to get really into birdwatching, or train for marathons, or get into civil war history or something. I think I might become the "get really into Steely Dan" type of 40 year old dad

What do you think is the largest policy concession Congressional Democrats could get from Trump in exchange for agreeing to rename the Kennedy Center after him?

One way to be able to discuss AI without catching the attention of all the anti-AI people is to avoid doing any good posts that get any attention from anyone

Wait, looks like someone already did bsky.app/profile/dcat...

Sometimes if I get sent a spreadsheet and need to actually do anything more advanced than sort the data, I have to load in into a pandas dataframe because I forgot how to do any useful spreadsheet things

I really don’t like how “no evidence” has started to be used to mean “no proof” rather than no evidence. The Kawhi situation is pretty clearly one with plenty of evidence even if the NBA can’t find rock solid proof

Such a cool feeling to check the For You feed and see right at the top the first use in the wild of the shareable graphic feature I added to @8sites.top Thanks for making my day @vicwalker.dev.br

Check out the current top 8 sites on 8sites.top 8sites.top/vicwalker.de... Finally, I made up my mind at @8sites.top @xan.lol (witchsky) @stream.place @semble.so @airglow.run @wafrn.net @margin.at @skyreader.app @standard-reader.app

I would be amused about how perfectly targeted this @chrisrosie22.bsky.social article at me if it didn't use the word "old" so many times

From tennis to music & everything in between, the world's experiencing an event I call "Millennial Summer." Pro lacrosse is no exception, so here's my tribute to the fine wines of the PLL. www.insidelacrosse.com/article/pll-...

(In case it wasn't clear, I meant the sentences I wrote that I picked to highlight weren't a particularly profound observation)

Keep seeing such a strong parallels between AI use and multi-sport athletes. Play multiple sports for long term development and then specialize to peak. Gain knowledge and skill by learning to do something without relying on AI then use AI to do it faster or better

Thanks to @michael.bsky.team for starting the discussion that lead to this post bsky.app/profile/mich...

I think there's a lot of opportunity for sports in the Atmosphere. A standard set of lexicons could define games, statistics, standings, events, etc. Leagues could produce their own records and own their own data. Atmosphere apps/sites could easily follow live updates.

There are plenty of real LLM coding skills, but there are so many tips and tricks that by the time word gets out, the next generation of models and harnesses are already correcting and soon enough everything has overcorrected and everyone has the opposite problem

Explaining the smokey air to little kids is a lot like pretending to have a girlfriend. "No, you can't go see the fire. It's in Canada."

On one hand that was obviously a dive when watched in slow motion from a bunch of different angles, but on the other hand it was good enough acting that it fooled a World Cup quality ref into giving the other guy a yellow

Okay, today I am shamelessly promoting @8sites.top by agreeing to do something for anyone who adds their top 8 sites Such as: - Add your site to my top 8 - Promote something of yours - Declare your atmospheric app the official ________ of @8sites.top - Provide meaningful feedback on something

The Popehat suspension reminds me that my 2 strongest running a social media site opinions are: 1) Verified accounts are dumb unless you specify what information was verified 2) You shouldn't permanently ban people

The distinction between paying Pat McAfee and paying Pat McAfee's production company is somehow simultaneously both not much of a difference and also a hugely important one

Had a project idea and about to buy the domain before I even start working on it because that way I will definitely force myself to follow through, right? Right?

What do we have to do to get all these people posting about women’s college lacrosse on here all spring long? Going to have to start posting women’s lacrosse recruiting takes this summer

Abbot: Did you hear about that WaPo video podcast? Costello: That doesn’t get any views? What’s the name of it again? A: Make It Make Sense C: I wish I could, but I’m asking about the name of the podcast. You know, the one that everyone on Bluesky keeps giving hate views to

Abbot: Make it make sense Costello: Yeah, I don't get why everyone there has been talking about it since this past weekend A: No, This Past Weekend is Theo Von's podcast C: The comedian? I've listened to that one, but he's kind of an idiot and I can never make it make sense

Abbot: That's it Costello: What's it? A: The name of the podcast C: That's what I brought up first A: Up First is from NPR, not WaPo C: NPR? What your saying doesn't make any sense A: Not make any sense. Make It Make Sense C: That's what I'm trying to do!
