+1. Y'all, I am wiped.

Not a single word of this is hyperbolic in the slightest. Buy your friends in cybersecurity the drink or chocolate of their choice right now. We are not doing well

The emudhra vulnerability is just so.... dumb. I can't get over it being just 3 to 8 bits for SEVENTEEN MONTHS.

A good ol' fashioned framing change.... 😬

www.cbsnews.com headline change https://www.cbsnews.com/video/election-officials-describe-federal-governments-investigations-into-voting-system-60-minutes/ New text is now Election officials describe federal government's actions around the voting system | 60 Minutes

No Kings Boston is NOT a rally. We packed the Common with 180,000 people. We don't need another rally -- we need to get to work! On Oct 17th, you become the organizer: register voters, vote early, build community. Plan your action at nokings.boston. Empower the people.

I'm in this weird part of parenting where my teens are technically adults. I miss them a lot when they go off to do job things & my house gets so quiet! But they are still SUPER EXCITED TO TALK ABOUT ALL THINGS in a way that hits my neurodivergence overwhelm when I first get home myself. 😬

This isn't bad. It's lovely and I feel so goddamn lucky to have two humans SO EXCITED about existence that they want to share all bits and parts with me when we connect after a long day... but dear god, give me at least 15-20 minutes of peace so I can be a functional human again 😂😂😂

These types of parents don't seek to love, guide, and teach their children. They seek to control them.

As a millennial the Iraq war was when I learned America felt no responsibility for human life abroad and hurricane Katrina was when I learned it felt no responsibility for American lives either

One thing that's been bugging me today: people who claim Dolly Parton wasn't political. False. She was very political. Her art and life's work were about interrogating power + amplifying the powerless. You only think she wasn't political because she did this by example, not bullshit slogans.

Has anyone tried turning the earth off and then on again to see if we can reboot? There's obviously a bug in the system right now. 😭

Hey friends, I worked hard on this pledge intake program, so please use it!

It’s worse than this. Having been in the room with many of them (long ago, before I knew they were psychopaths), the tycoons who are left running the industry have an active contempt for ordinary people, including their own workers. They actively want to oppress, control and punish them.

I agree that the tech backlash has a lot to do with the fact that Silicon Valley has pretty much given up on giving us cool things - and has trained us to assume that tech products that *seem* cool are probably secretly evil. I wrote about this last year:

little-flying-robots.ghost.ioI Just Want a Cute Robot Lamp That Isn't EvilApple's engineers have figured out how to design a robot lamp so adorable that everyone I've shown the video to says they'd die for it. By studying how to translate human expression into the movement...

Ah yes Palantir, the company making dossiers about everyone with known government contracts. That's exactly who I want tracking what news articles I read.

Hanaa’ Tameez@hanaatameez.bsky.social

USA Today Co. owns more than 200 local newspapers in the United States, along with its national daily USA Today. The partnership with Palantir comes amid a decline in search traffic — a challenge faced by publications around the world. www.niemanlab.org/2026/08/amer...

I keep saying "gaaaaaaay" happily whenever anything good happens. I can't wait to watch the Hunters tomorrow!!! 🥰 I'm so happy to have a home team.

The rural Indiana *county* I grew up in only had 19% of the population of the MA *town* I live in now. Louis Campagna of the Chicago Outfit had a farm there as late as the 50s, and there is still plenty of family there from my understanding

Sarah Taber@sarahtaber.bsky.social

Most of the land in most farm counties is owned by 1-5 families. They run the place like their own personal kingdoms. There is SO much resentment and straight-up fury about this in rural areas. The fact that no political party's even really trying to speak to it is wild.

Tonight I replaced the pickup in my son's telecaster and he tested and was so excited and then texted all of his friends. What does one charge for soldering random parts into 17 year olds' random instruments?

I'm hooked up to a VPN server located in Romania just so I can access Bluesky without doing the whole "age verification" rigmarole while visiting my partner in Texas. You can practically taste the freedom. And so on.

MASSACHUSETTS FOLKS! The MA House is expected to vote soon on H. 4746 the Massachusetts Consumer Data Privacy Act. This is a really good bill! Call your house reps and tell them to advance it WITH a private right of action so you can sue Big Tech for data abuse fftf.link/madataprivacy

The House just deadlocked 212-212 on a vote to end the Iran War. Three Republicans voted for it. One Democrat, Jared Golden, voted against it. I have no idea what Jared Golden is smoking, but it must be some powerful shit.

with zero sarcasm this is good government and we should do this immediately

Zhang Shan won the gold medal for the mixed skeet shooting event in the 1992 Olympics. The International Shooting Union *immediately* banned women from competing against men.

Fun fact: Women's sports are segregated not to protect women, but to protect *men* from losing *to* a woman. Don't believe me? Look up Jackie Mitchell. Struck out Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig. Then suddenly women were unfit to play baseball.
