I don’t know that a movie - organically/accidentally or intentionally - has capitalized on the memification of the internet the way You Can See Everything has. And it hasn’t even hit theaters yet!

Worth reading thru the whole thread - @propublica.org gets the goods yet again. If ever there was a story to expose the desperate need to get money out of our politics, this is it. Oh, and Maine: please get yourselves some better representation. Doesn’t get much swampier than “concerned” Sen Collins

ProPublica@propublica.org

2/ Our story starts in 2019. Collins is at risk of losing her seat. A year earlier, she helped Navatek land a multimillion-dollar Navy contract in Maine. Scott Reed, head of the pro-Collins super PAC, meets with Navatek execs in a D.C. cafe and asks for a $500K donation.

The richest man in the world isn’t interesting. He’s not insightful. He’s not thoughtful. He’s not funny. He’s not charismatic. He’s a deeply lonely, shockingly boring, narcissistic monster freak.

“Undecided” is as far as these spineless clowns that have been cast off of MAGA Island are willing to go in pushing back against one of trumps most blatantly corrupt noms so far.

A president that makes TUCKER seem this sane, rational, logical etc has completely lost his mind.

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Tucker Carlson: "It's vile. It begins w/ a promise to use the US military to commit a war crime. Those people who are in direct contact w/ the president need to say 'No. I'll resign. I'll do whatever I can do legally to stop this, bc this is insane. And if given the order, I'm not carrying it out'"

This calls into question ever other audience score in history…

A large CAVA bag stuffed with what it says is $50,000 for White House Border Czar Tom Homan. It’s been reported Homan took bribery money when he was recorded by the FBI accepting a bag full of $50,000 in cash. “ICE GTFO OF MN” Minneapolis February 4, 2026

Thank you for your service, Ian, and for this message.

Mother Jones@motherjones.com

Ian Austin, an Army veteran, was arrested for protesting ICE in Minneapolis. But he’s continued protesting. Senior reporter @julialurie.bsky.social spoke to him. “When they say, ‘Why would you be out here?’ How the fuck could I not be out here?” he says. “My nation is under attack."

Wes Moore for prez. My vote is actually anybody except @gavinnewsom.bsky.social but I’m a Wes Moore fan. A Dem that can extract a win from this crooked corrupt incompetent discriminatory regime? Yes please

Governor Wes Moore@govwesmoore.bsky.social

We all agree that building great, big, things shouldn’t be impossible in America. That includes the Francis Scott Key Bridge and the American Legion Memorial Bridge – two major infrastructure projects that are essential to the Baltimore and Beltway economy.

To start the year, I found out in a fury that my Wapo subscription I’m almost positive that I canceled years ago was still running. PSA: it was actually remarkably easy to cancel and get a pro-rated refund.

One thing I still I love about America is that despite social media’s attempts to paint us in explicitly binary fashion of red and blue there are still 1 million shades of American politics and opinions. I don’t agree with Ventura on a ton, I agree with everything he says here.

Geraldo Rivera on the ICE shooting: "She didn’t want to hit anybody. She didn't want to run over anybody. To pretend that that was a possibility, given the fact -- I mean, do you believe me or do you believe your lying eyes? Are your lying eyes telling you something that you know is not true?"

I’m seeing a lot of people predict that “the right wing media is going to turn this story for Trump” and “they’re going to work overtime to make America forget this” and you should tell that to all these people out there in Minnesota in fucking January. This can matter. This will matter.

Alex Baumhardt@alexbaumhardt.bsky.social

A friend in Minneapolis just sent me this video. Looks like thousands have come together for a vigil after an ICE agent shot and killed 37-year-old Renee Nicole Good. This was my neighborhood for several years before coming to Portland.

Really need the embarrassing @washingtonpost.com to be more specific with the “many arguing” that Trump should be allowed to weigh-in on state policy in exchange for duly required aid. Jefferson is rolling in his grave and everyone laid off or left the Post is embarrassed by this.

The Washington Post@washingtonpost.com

President Trump has so far withheld federal relief funds, with many arguing that California Gov. Gavin Newsom and other Democrats in the deep-blue state have mishandled the fires and should be forced to rescind liberal policies in exchange for aid.

I go through Buffetts biggest swing and miss in the replies re: KraftHeinz but there are plenty of others. Buffett, again with Brazilian money, sold Burger King to a Canadian doughnut stand. There’s also his lovely investment in predatory trailer park lending company Clayton Homes.

Tom from Twitter 🚫👑@powjerome.bsky.social

LOL OK let’s start with the cuddly Oracle of Omaha since you used him in the thumbnail. Buffett partnered with a Brazilian private equity firm to stuff one bitter rival (Heinz) into another (Kraft), because you know there just isn’t any American private equity appetite for this deal.

Bari Weiss’ two accomplishments so far are hosting an interview that she desperately wanted people to watch (but they didn’t) and trying to spike a news story that she desperately wanted nobody to watch (but they did)

Guess who I trust 1,000x more than @sallyjenx.bsky.social? @sulliview.bsky.social - thank you for so cogently distilling down the outrage those of us actually concerned with freedom and liberty in this country had with this move. I hope Sally pulls her head out of the sand to read this piece.

Steven Springer@stevenaspringer.bsky.social

@sulliview.bsky.social on @60minutes.bsky.social, @cbsnews.com: "Weiss ought to cut her losses, green-light the piece, and try to start acting like an editor – not like a cog in the machine of authoritarian politics and oligarchy." www.theguardian.com/commentisfre...

The fact that incessantly centrist™️ pundits like @mattyglesias.bsky.social are like “ignore Van Hollen, he’s in a safely blue seat etc etc” is insane to me. This man’s messaging - not just on immigration - has hit every single high note. His messaging should BE Dem messaging right now.

Senator Chris Van Hollen@vanhollen.senate.gov

Remember who was sitting right behind Donald Trump on his Inauguration Day? The richest man in the world, the tech billionaire tycoons, and his billionaire cabinet. He’s certainly delivering his “golden age” for them, but it’s crumbs for everyone else. That’s the Trump economy.

Nearly a full day after Bari’s fiasco has fully unfurled, complete with an accidental posting of the spiked clip on Canadian TV and the only post from @sallyjenx.bsky.social today is some lame article she wrote linking elder athlete Philip Rivers to Lindsay Vonn…

Sally Jenkins@sallyjenx.bsky.social

Ratio me. Please. It's a badge of honor. If you don't like a link, go follow some chicken-heart who needs the approval of the thought-police. Caitlin Flanagan of @theatlantic.com is a tremendous writer and this piece is an excellent read. www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archiv...

I’m particularly struck by Bari homing in on the student analysis as not relevant to the piece. These students working for a human rights center used video footage to prove that Noem stood in front of el Salvadoran prisoners that had been at CECOT for years. Specifically NOT the deportees sent there

Alex Shephard@alexshephard.bsky.social

The full Weiss memo is dogshit -who cares if administration figures “regret” sending people to CECOT -who cares about the criminal histories of the people we sent to CECOT, we sent them to a torture prison —who cares about the “debate” over the legality of sending people to a torture prison

The deputy attorney general of the United States went on the Sunday shows this morning and shamelessly lied through his sweaty little teeth. Yes of course they are specifically redacting Trump shit. Yes of course Trump is deeply implicated in the Epstein files.

Last week Jesse Watters spoke to man named Eric who claimed he was formerly a member of antifa. Two years ago Watters interviewed Ramon "Mundo" Mendoza, a former Mexican Mafia member. Some folks thought the men looked similar. This is a side by side comparison. 🤷‍♀️

Tom has long been taken seriously by the media elite and certainly by Tom himself when the takes have always been this dumb. The idea that there’s only maximalist no social media posting fascism and that masked agents jumping out of unmarked rental cars to haul off your neighbors doesn’t count…
