THREAD: We just released a tool that allows you to search billions of dollars in wealth, ties to the most powerful companies in the country, and details of the personal finances of President Trump and over 1,500 of his appointees. Here’s how it works 1/

Just a random reminder that over 50 members of Congress collectively own millions of dollars in defense contractor stocks. They stand to personally profit from wars that enrich these contractors. Make no mistake, this is legalized corruption. Watch how they vote this week.

This is an excellent documentary on the history of American-Iran relations. And the impact of the coup d’état in 1953 that overthrew Mohammad Mosaddegh by the CIA and MI5 (at the behest corporate oil interests). Must watch in these times. www.pbs.org/wgbh/america...

Important column. We have got to a point where many do not understand the purpose of regulation. I have to hammer this point home in every class I teach on corporate wrongdoing and harm. These policies will kill human beings. We should not normalize deregulation.

Excited to see the book appearing on the publisher's webpage. The goal is to get students engaged and rethink corporate criminality. And give potential instructors or course developers a resource that will help them inspire students. canadianscholars.ca/book/corpora...

Apple CEO TIm Cook went to the White House the evening after Alex Pretti was murdered and took selfies with Trump and the serial sexual abuser who directed the Melania film. No spine. No soul. And your fucking iOS updates are ass.

Watching the CBC. They just cut him off and said it was recorded. With no substantial information about shooting. So, I guess I did not miss anything -- which I wasn't expecting. This is copaganda on steriods!

I really wish that the CBC would stop discussing the murder as if there were two sides or "two narratives" I know they are trying to be balanced but it is so obvious what happened. Call it out as the DHS lying to the public. This is an example of copaganda -- adding seeds of doubt to an incident.

THREAD. In the section of my Copaganda book on how body cameras as a supposed “reform” are one of the great propaganda achievements in the history of the police/surveillance industry, I explain that one of the reasons police wanted them so badly for years was to link to facial recognition tech.

Here is another video from a different angle, you can more clearly see the agent in grey retreating with what appears to be a hand gun seconds before shots start ringing out Video source: www.tiktok.com/@curiouscree...

Moments before the first shot is fired, this federal agent can be seen retreating with a gun. It appears to match the general appearance of the firearm posted by DHS, including the red dot sight. This agent’s back is turned when the first shot occurs. x.com/BillMelugin_...

The DHS saying that he was brandishing a weapon. Going to perpetrate a massacre. WTF. I have watched video multiple times and still trying to process what the hell happened. But this was not a targeted attack on ICE. This is copaganda on steroids.

A new video appears to show the moments leading up to a fatal shooting by federal agents in Minneapolis, with the individual appearing to simply record on his phone as agents escalated the situation. 🎥 dangjessie / Threads

It is pretty clear that Republican reps do not want Jack Smith to answer any questions. They won't like the answers. They rudely interrupt and ask unanswerable questions. But not surprising, when you have "crackpots" as elected officials.

We are witnessing the Madness of King Donald. Truly embarrassing and unhinged. This afternoon, I think I will take a break from political punditry and watch The Madness of King George (1994). Been a long time since I have seen it... I just remember Nigel Hawthorne was great in the role.

i just watched this video and the fact that they believe this to be exculpatory is genuinely insane

ah. they all got the memo xcancel.com/JDVance/stat...

This is incredible. It's the opposite of exculpatory. It's now even clearer that the killing was not at all justified, he was in no sense whatsoever in any serious danger, and indeed it looks very much like the shooting was retribution and nothing more.

The Tennessee Holler @thetnholler.bsky.social

🚨 NEW VIDEO 👇🏽This puts an end to all the lies. Horrific. They were having a calm exchange seconds before he murdered Renee Good, and she was barely moving and clearly avoiding him. Stop the lies.

A must read.

ElieNYC@elienyc.bsky.social

The ICE agent who murdered Renee Good must be prosecuted for murder. He enjoys no immunity from state murder charges. Then, Blue state governors must call up their National Guard to protect us from the armed ICE terrorists. My latest in @thenation.com www.thenation.com/article/soci...

Great point. They do this every single time. And the talking heads and pundits continually push false and misleading narratives -- as if there are two sides to the story. It was clearly murder. Let's call it what it was and not sugar coat it.

alec karakatsanis@equalityalec.bsky.social

Anyone who has read Copaganda knows that we are in the crucial early moments of virality after an extra-judicial police murder. It's extremely important for ICE that the media plays along with the idea that what happened is contested and there are multiple perspectives.

JD Vance supports murdering American citizens. He's made that perfectly clear today. If he's willing to defend the murder of Renee Good, he would defend your murder, too.

JD Vance accuses the slain Renee Good of perpetrating "an attack on federal law enforcement, an attack on law and order, and attack on the American people" "That woman was there to interfere with a legitimate law enforcement operation," he adds, repeatedly referring to her as "that woman"

The National Post is owned by a right wing American hedge fund. They are the official opposition to all things Canadian. While US governors and tourism operators cry out about the Canadian boycott, the Post promotes the few quislings who would sell our country out. A parcel of rogues in a nation.

The state Bureau of Criminal Apprehension says they've been informed by the FBI that US DOJ has said FBI will solely lead the investigation into Renee Nicole Good's killing by a federal officer. State investigators no longer have access to "case materials, scene evidence/investigative interviews"

Why is the CBC allowing ICE propaganda on their news feed today? Allowing Noem a platform to spread her copaganda and bullshit. I guess they are waiting for her to answer questions on the murder in Minnesota.

I'd love news organizations to get a comment from all the corporations, such as SPOTIFY, that continue running ICE ads on their platforms. Do they support ICE murdering US citizens? They still support ICE? Let American consumers know!
