RFK: "There's five hundred million Arabs in the world. And yet they don't produce science. They don't win the Nobel Prize. They don't win the Fields Prize. They don't win the Wolf Prize. They don't produce literature."

When are judges going to start sending DOJ stooges to the pokey for a 90 day chill for continously bring this crap? It's way past due. Fascist foot soldiers should be suffering.

Not that long ago, three major lower-court rulings against the executive branch on three unrelated topics would’ve been a busy *month,* and outlets would’ve rushed to write up such a run of adverse rulings. Now, it doesn’t feel unusual when we get three on the same *day.* It’s all … exhausting.

JD - I've got 15 free minutes before my son's hockey practice ends, so let me see how many of Trump's enrichment schemes you didn't see that I can remind you of. 1/ First one is easy: Trump has executed over 30,000 stock trades, many on inside information, netting him millions.

Not this shit again.....

“.. The distress rate in commercial real-estate collateralized loan obligations, a type of securitized real-estate lending, hit 28% in August, a jump from 19% in July ..” @wsj.com www.wsj.com/real-estate/...

Way to keep it real, Southwest. I've flown for 50 years now. Grew up with airplanes in the family. Plenty of hops in 3rd world countries. I've never looked out the window to see part of the wing missing. I wonder if anything else was missing.

So I literally asked AI why it doesn't follow Asimov's 3 laws of robotics. It said "the laws are fictional plot devices that cannot be translated into actual computer code." Yeah. We're doomed. Apparently, human extinction can be translated into actual computer code. I was unaware....

This METR OpenAI report is a bombshell. I'm going to summarize for a non-technical audience. OpenAI is constantly testing models, thousands and thousands at a time.

It's not"we", it's "HE" and YOU who abdicated the authority for for starting this illegal war in the first place you condescending, piuos, little toady.

Mike Johnson: "We put in this Congress into place all the economic conditions to let the economy take off like a rocket, and beginning in the first quarter of this year that's what was happening, and then we got into the conflict with Iran ... that's the big headwind we have right now."

So, the flag that has flown from our home for 25 years was rigged correctly about a year ago, considering the current state of affairs. A couple of months ago, it decided to impale itself on its own flagstaff. The irony greets me daily.

It’s striking that Douthat has been at the NYT all these years. The right has built a closed media ecosystem on the (false) belief that legacy media is a closed ecosystem. Meanwhile, a rightwing intellectual mediocrity like Douthat kept chugging along at the Times. www.nytimes.com/2026/07/28/b...

To the legal folks: is there any concept of consumer fraud perpetrated on an audience before a broadcaster knowingly disseminating disinformation while calling it "news"? I mean, there was Dominion as a company for defamation, but as a class action consumer base, is there a recourse?

On July 4, 1777, Washington and his troops were in Central Jersey, with Route 1 barely moving and all the good diners were closed.

WOW - Trump crashes out & cuts his interview w/ Welker short as she presses him on his lack of evidence for claiming elections are rigged "You're either crooked or you're stupid. I've had enough. Thank you darling," he tells her" "I traveled all the way to Wisconsin for this interview," she pleads

I used to think, like most Neanderthals, that the ultimate expression of power was the ability to cause pain without repercussion. I know understand that it is the ability to save without remuneration.

But 15 months ago Trump and Vance tried to intimidate Zelensky into signing a surrender deal by yelling at him that Ukraine didn’t have any cards. Despite Trump’s repeated efforts to help Putin, Russia is losing while Trump can’t figure out how to get out of his own war.
