shoutout to the gamefreak employee that filled up erika's gym with woman, wrote himself in as an NPC, and dropped this unprompted

played only a bit of persona 5 and never liked you can only do, like, one activity per day after your daily obligations but man, life has just been feeling like that lately

you wouldn't believe how annoying it is to be a fan of a series, and a very vocal amount of people trash talk while also not ever touching the 2d games

as for the spin offs, they're the shields that take the brunt of "worst selling zelda title" from my point of view. four swords adventurers on gamecube is kick ass though

as much as nintendo annoys me a lot, like, so so much they're still somehow better than every other big company in the video game space.... how.......

if anyone doesnt know, viacom owned CBS, nickelodeon (ofc including spongebob), and MTV. with that sort of IP power, they were also pretty brutal to go on the offensive at the slightest whiff of copyright infringement. they sued youtube back in 2007 for 1 billion

again, nintendo, wayyy more mild. seems they have the legal right to find, track, and sue problem people but mostly settle for C&D requests instead it scary tho...

when it comes to protecting their IPs, they remind me a lot of viacom in the mid 2000's, just way less mean. both are the smallest of the major players. you sorta gotta remember nintendo is just a video game company, vs sony and microsoft's entire beings

hate that AI is slowly being crammed into every online search system, presumably so site owners can show investors how many people are using it and delaying the bubble popping just a little longer

got a lot of responses to my post the other day about OoT's field music, and it is very much in fact dynamic it shocks me to think the N64 can pull that sort of thing off...

I remember banjo kazooie and tooie changing the music slightly near certain areas, didn't know OoT would read the player's current state every 8 musical bars to figure out what section to play next....

doing a 3 heart playthrough of OoT for the first time... lost my shield to a random keese and decided it'll be a minimal item/upgrade run while I'm at it.....

Imagine gaining divine power and sending the world into chaos, only for what is effectively still a child to stroll up and make all your hard work pointless extra humiliation if said child deflects your powerful magic not with the legendary sword but an empty bottle

video game power up in the 80's-90's: oh cool, you got the thing. it does double damage video game power up in the same series 20 years later: you obtained the holy weapon, forged by the gods, passed down through the centuries. evil itself quivers at the sight of its shimmer. it does double damage
