Some 💩 went down at SSA today, and it’s not great so let’s talk about it 🫠 TLDR version: effective 7/3, 40-50% of the CSR (customer service rep) staff will be reassigned to answering the national 1800#. This decision was made without input from any regional, area, or teleservice center leadership.

Yeah…because our jobs aren’t stressful enough without orchestrating new crises.

I love working under such stress and uncertainty that, upon experiencing login issues, my first thought was “am I fired?”

Every so often I have crazy ideas pop into my head. Like: “I’m good at wording. I should go into politics!” It only lasts for a moment before coming to my senses but it still happens.

Frankly I’m ok with the shutdown. Give this faulty system a hard reboot!
