Outdated laws give presidents sweeping power to use the military at home to suppress protests and make mass arrests in times of war and domestic upheaval. Congress must repeal the Alien Enemies Act, close the loopholes in the Posse Comitatus Act, and reform the Insurrection Act. bit.ly/4oxXJLN

A social media post is not going to save us. In fact nothing is going to say us. If there was something to save us we'd see it here on social media. But nothing nothing nothing.

The creation of corporations was the biggest self-annihilation move of human civilisation. These are entities exploiting humans and the Earth, and governed not by humans or ethics, but by profit. We are essentially owned by something abstract and inhuman. This should be of grave concern” #economics

People are numb. We're dissociating. We're not thinking clearly. We're in shock. Have a glass of wine, sit down in front of a mirror and ask yourself what should I be doing? What could actually make a difference.

Fixating on any one issue is probably not what we should be doing. But it is so chaotic and complicated and it changes everyday so we cling to an issue we think might make a difference. We lay all our hopes on that.

I just got hit by an account claiming I was a follower, it was soft porn super soft, but certainly not something I'm interested in, and I was unable to unfollow, I don't think I ever followed it to begin with, when I blocked it nothing happened. I had to reboot my phone before it disappeared.

The Profa regime is was taking control of the data, the information the American public can see, because what you don't know can't hurt them. It is ubiquitous. Everything from crime statistics, economic data, information concerning your health and well-being...all of it, is being censored.

"I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all"

Comey was inept because he didn't recognize that all he had to do was check the timestamps on all those emails to recognize that they were duplicates. This led to Trump winning the election. His chauvinism lead to what we are fighting today.

You put Trump in office in 2016. When you show some contrition for that because it was incredibly stupid for you to do that, given that it would have taken 10 minutes to recognize all those emails were copies, I will maybe forgive you and until then you deserve everything you get.

James Comey@jamescomey.bsky.social

Comey deserves the consequences of his actions that led to Trump being elected in 2016. He deserves it all. We are his victims. We should feel no sympathy. Karma is a bitch. But I do wish it was only he who suffered.

Every day something happens that is more outrageous than the day before. It is so unhinged and untethered to reality that trying to make sense of it is bad for your health. Yet all I see happening is lots of anger on social media and court orders that get overturned by the Sullied Court.

BREAKING: Eric Swalwell just told the FCC chairman to hire a lawyer and preserve records because they will be held accountable in 2027 when democrats take the House. Oh and he’s wearing a Jimmy Kimmel hat.

It's not left versus right. It's sanity versus insanity. It's peace versus violence. It's truth vs lies. It's reality versus propaganda. It's our ability to focus on what matters versus are being distracted by every little thing or big thing they wish to distract us with.

rarely have I more acutely felt the dynamic by which Dems are held responsible for the rhetoric of every random left-leaning person on the internet and Republicans are not even asked to answer for their own personal words

Germany invaded & took Poland. Since NOBODY was, overly concerned, about Poland? World Opinion was… ‘Let them KEEP it’… France was NEXT…Then Adolf turned covetous eye on England… By THAT point?… Was pretty obvious what he was REALLY up to… Let’s SEE how long it takes to do Math with Vlad…

Yes, we are living in a constitutional crisis. Yes we are. And we’ve been living in a constitutional crisis for the past 7 months. And it’s only going to get worse. And maybe the courts might help somewhat, but the only thing that will truly save us is…us. The American people.

SCOTUS: considering race as one factor in a college applicant's file is blatantly unconstitutional ALSO SCOTUS: considering race as one factor in targeting whom to detain and deport is cool cool cool

The press is dead. What remains are sensation-seeking tabloid writers hungry for their 15 minutes.

No solidarity. Reporters let Trump talk this way to a woman reporter and then clamor to get their own question answered. He used to do it to April Ryan, Yamiche Alcindor and Abby Phillip. And that’s why he controls media. No solidarity.

I am really done with you people. I have my little Fortress My Safe Haven a place I can call my own. I have a place where my neighbors care about each other. I have a place where your cowardice can't hurt me. If I knew how to fight it I would but I don't and so there it is. You guys can go to hell.

Our willingness to sacrifice what we fought for in 1776, what we fought for in World War I and World War II. We are willing to sacrifice it all, because we are scared to lose what little is left. I am Beyond disgusted.

For how many years have we been hearing that we are on the verge of a constitutional crisis? We have been past a Constitutional crisis for as many years. Our leaders are cowards.

So bottom line is that the people in power don't believe the rest of us are people. They can do anything they want to us without guilt, and we're just sitting here letting them do that.
