Sebastián is one of my favorite artists to work with in comics. You should hire him.

Hey, I'm Sebastián. I'm working on pretty cool stuff that won't be announced till next year, but I'm always open to work on covers. #portfolioday

Going to see Digger a second time tomorrow. It's been 5 days and I cannot stop thinking about it, and want to see it again. Been a LONG time since that happened.

I, for... reasons... revisited the full run of AKIRA this week. There are so many brilliant, genre-defining things in it... ...but also... I know this is heresy, but looking at it 40 years later, from a professional editor POV, there are definitely things I would 'give notes on'

I thought DIGGER was magnificent. Echoes of Dr Strangelove, A Face in the Crowd, Barton Fink, Brazil, 22 Monkeys, 8 1/2, Network... It's farce and it's satire and it's brilliant and heartbreaking and man... The acting, the writing, the unexpected reveals. I'm so glad we saw it in the theater.

I’m doing a limited run of the ITOD “Dragon Piano” prints with the watercolor painting I did as Key Art for Tori's ITOD tour. These prints are 8.5” x 14” signed & numbered with a limited run of 50 copies. Each one is Remarqued. $75 USD, includes shipping in the US. Holler if you're interested

“Ever since we’ve posted the secondary coverage as well as the editorial, there’s been an absolute outpour of similar stories hitting my inbox and the sexual-misconduct tip line.”

After the discussion on here last week, I keep thinking about how helpful/useful it might be to have an actual ProCon for comics again. Where everything from the craft to the business could be discussed. Is that a crazy idea? I know when they had it the two days before SDCC in the 90s it was great.

For no reason whatsoever, I keep thinking about the following phrase over the last couple of days: "You do not need to comment on breaking news, especially when the facts aren't clear."

The coughing, aches, itchy throat, sneezing headache etc are all a bummer with COVID. But the thing that drives me the MOST insane with it... I'm alert enough to TRY and do things and to WANT to work on things, but it renders my brain as unresponsive as the Senator Puppet we've seen wheeled out.

So, I've got COVID. Managed to make it through con season & international travel & a number of concerts & got vaxxed with the 26 shot* & yet... *I will say I am tired & my throat is a little scratchy, but I'm not feeling too awful. Nothing like when I got it 3 years ago. Mask up, motherfuckers.

This is a fucking time machine of an album. When Might and Bikini and Raygun and Spy had an outsized influence on culture, and drugs fueled 3am dancing and the Internet greeted you with a squealing howl and 120pixel images.

In 1976, my Mom bought me this comic. It was the first music comic book biography that was not only authorized... it was written by The Man In Black himself. It's my distinct pleasure to be part of the team working with the Johnny Cash estate to bring it back into print.

people.com50 Years Later, Johnny Cash’s Comic Book Is Coming Back Into Print — See a Sneak Peek! (Exclusive)Five decades after its debut, Johnny Cash’s 1976 autobiographical comic book is being re-released by Z2 Comics. The reissue, which comes on Local Comic Shop Day, will feature two new cover variants an...

So much half-assery in concept and execution is being held up as the iconic new standard for the medium that defines the current lexicon in comics. And, it is... ...but not in the way they mean nor intend.

On the flight back from Germany, the in flight entertainment system had Van Halen's album A DIFFERENT KIND OF TRUTH, and since I was in the air for 21 hours, I gave it a listen for the first time since it came out. This is a MUCH better album than I remember, with great songs & performances.

Heading back to Los Angeles after two weeks in Deutschland. As is always the case after visiting, my heart is full from the experiences and communion with my loved ones, & I'm reminded how good America truly COULD be, if it got over it's blind superiority & arrogance.
