Christopher R. Rice - The Raven Maniac

I'm in a bad way right now and once again, I call on Gondor for aid. I'm offering a temporary tier on #Patreon for my back #GURPS content. I'm highly unlikely to offer such content again like this. Check it out and please reshare this. www.patreon.com/posts/141085... #TTRPG #roleplaying #gaming

Me and my cat

I thought this whole selling of indulgences thing was settled a while ago.

bluesky has four kinds of users

I was raised by a devil dog (as he'd say, he served a combined 40 yrs in Marines/Army, WWI/WWII vet), my father was in the Army, other father was in the Navy (both Vietnam vets). I live in a Navy town. I have never served, but I am steeped in military culture and traditions. This makes me so proud.

I have never ONCE wavered on my belief in the Corps. Even when they got bullshit orders to go to LA I knew they wouldn't hurt civvies and ratfuck those orders as much as possible. And now to see them giving a hearty fuck you to Kegsbreath makes me SO DAMN happy. www.nytimes.com/2026/10/23/u...

And it took me two uninstalls to actually uninstall it...

Not only did this take me almost 7 hours to export, import, verify, and reorganize it took me close to 25 minutes to cancel with SIX tries to delete my account and all the while it asking me to stay. NOPE. Next to impossible to cancel and delete my data. Whole damn day gone from this bullshit.

First 5 TTRPGs played: In order • Shadowrun • Palladium's Rifts • Dungeons and Dragons 2/e • GURPS 3/e • World of Darkness (Vampire the Masquerade 2/e)

Fear drives far more engagement than pride. “Be afraid of the alternative!” is a proven, winning strategy. (From my book of essays, my "tao" - hits real hard these days.)

Oh, Evernote you can fuck right off. These bastards are holding my files hostage because I had premium and let it drop so now i have to pay to access them because it was over 50 files. FUCKING DIGITAL PROTECTION RACKET.

"How did you get into tabletop roleplaying games?" I read my (POS) step-father's Krynn novels and DnD books at 8 and had my first game at 10 with my foster brother and was GMing by 11. Fox is a gamer and it brought us together in a relationship that's almost 30 years old. Still gaming with her. <3

As we approach the midterms, remember that the Alt National Park Service is a merch sales operation claiming without evidence to be a group of federal employees, and is not a genuine source of news about elections of any kind. Please get your election info from a local, reputable source.

@psygeek.bsky.social had this. It's awful.

And they bitched that giving authors $3K a pop to split with their publishers for stealing our shit would break them.

I guess it's as good a time as any to announce the new moderation list I have: "Silence, robot", for bots, LLMs, and agents that speak to you without all parties who will receive the notification having solicited the speech: bsky.app/profile/raha...

I was named after the silly old bear's Christopher Robin.

What she prayed. I don't pray. God and I don't see eye to eye on things and I have few kind words should He exist...but I will pray for this man who we so desperately need in the world right now. You listening up there? Even this jaded agnostic fuck is asking you spare this one. Please.

I...think... I am where I am supposed to be and I am terrified of it. This is not home, but it's trying to be. My road has gone to the north and the land calls to me here in a way I have rarely felt. Who knew it would be in New York and why now?

Big Tree Law?

I need to pull in a google calendar and print it as a weekly agenda without the created by bullshit that's there. As well as descriptions for events. So far, no joy. Help?

If you don't cry at this picture you are too young for me to date. If you do cry, I'm taken, but we should have coffee and be traumatized together.

The road is also the wall and the wall divides the road.

Gay cauliflower soup.

The roasted cauliflower soup I just made is the color of the gayest lavender I have ever seen.
