I would like to say thank you to everyone who responded to my recent post inquiring about stickers. I never expected a response, and I hope to get stickers from you soon.

Going to be an extremely busy week for me, but even so, I hope to squeeze some personal downtime. I really need this, even though the holiday rush is coming. But I’m doing what I can to make sure I get plenty of chill time.

Got back seeing Wildwood about an hour ago. Definitely a must-see movie worth watching and experiencing on the big screen! I encourage everyone to go see it! As a warning, lot of scenes are firmly justified for a PG-13.

One of the biggest things that I adored about Wildwood was the fact that Laika hired cinematographer Caleb Deschanel to shoot it. It was a bold choice knowing he has shot amazing classics like Being There and The Right Stuff and he really helps give the stop motion amazing depth.

The last repost gave some much needed inspiration for a character design I’ve embarrassingly I’ve been struggling with. Happy it came on my TL.

Absolutely devastating. My heart goes out to the employees and hope they can find work soon. I know the economy and job market sucks right now, but got to keep hope alive and offer support wherever possible.

BioWare statement

Casting a net of questionable size here, if you’re an ex-BioWare dev (or know of one who may not see this) working on something cool you’d like featured in a roundup at Kotaku, drop it below. Store page links helpful, and let me know what your role was at BW. Projects big and small welcome! RTs plz!

As an idea for later, I want to do some research into scrapped/changed ideas in feature films, specifically animated films. Mostly so I can be more knowledgeable and have a clear understanding of the initial ideas and concepts.

Last post: another thing that stings is I wish the user-base there was more active, but ultimately, it couldn’t compete with other platforms like Cara, Tumblr, and such. Also there’s an artist I follow who archived there, but are sadly no longer active.

I was just about to post this, and yeah, I just got the email. It’s so unfortunate as I had hoped it would last a little longer, but sadly, it wasn’t meant to be.

Last post: Additionally, I’ve already expressed numerous times that I’m so tired of this push for generative AI, and that one of my main hopes is for the bubble to pop. Once it does, hopefully things will be affordable again. Keyword is “hopefully” as it’ll take awhile to stabilize.

As personal aside, I’ll gladly stick with my PS5. And say what one will about Nintendo and the Switch 2, I can at least say there’s plenty of games coming to the system people can enjoy.

Friendly Reminder: Indie Animation is NOT a competition. Never has and never will be No matter the skill level, production size, popularity, etc., it’s important to support them all the same People are making their own projects without any interferences. That should be celebrated!!!

Been a hot minute since I shared anything from my sketchbook, which I want to do hopefully this weekend. Additionally, still working on actually using my scanner after so many years.

Long story short about my scanner and why I haven’t been using it—my room doesn’t have the space for it. And this still aggravates me. One of the many things I want to fix soon.

Finally both rewatched the first episode and watched the second, and I honestly can tell that this is going to be something special. A lot of mystery as well as plenty of great character dynamics. And I’m looking forward to see how it all develops as the series progresses.

Overall, I definitely enjoyed the first KoG episode/pilot, and I am looking forward to what’s in store for later episodes. As well as hoping things will be further expanded on.

Got back from finally seeing Forgotten Island about a few hours ago, and what can I say? It’s honestly a great movie that I highly recommend everyone should check it out whenever possible!

Took me long enough to finally sit down and watch the first episode/pilot of Knights of Guinevere. I may have to rewatch again just to get the full understanding, but for me personally, I see a lot of promise in a good way.

Especially since it sets the tone to what the series will be about—which is a re-examination of what it ultimately means to strive for a dream & the people who have those aspirations. At least, that’s my current interpretation anyway.

for fandom to be enjoyable everyone needs to learn to: - block each other more - learn to not care if you’re blocked - see a stupid opinion? move on - someone told you that your opinion is stupid? oh well - engage only with things you find value in

Looking up the materials I need to finally start a project that has been LONG overdue. Just the tricky part is this character I hope to make a plush of has simple yet complex designs (which I’ll have to simplify).

One of those materials is safety eyes. Since I sadly don’t have an embroidery machine (too expensive at the moment), the next best thing is that and possibly buttons.

Not to bring up a dead horse—I still find it hilarious, baffling, and upsetting that the “controversy” surrounding Hexed is just nothing more than whiny people complaining about a film they have not seen yet. They’re just going by the trailer and one clip, and that’s it.

I can think of much better uses of my time than complain about a film that (at least currently at the time of this post) won’t be released until next month. Plus if these people don’t want to see it, then don’t. Simple as that.

Additionally, I’d rather put my time and energy into recommending films that deserve a chance, especially if I’ve seen & enjoyed them.

As someone who owns this game and has played through it, it’s honestly a lot of fun. Is it a perfect game? No, but it’s still an enjoyable one.

Kingdom Hearts Re:Coded released in Japan on this day 16 years ago! 👑💛 I wish that new fans had a way to play this through Nintendo Switch Online - it has some of my favorite gameplay from the Nintendo DS generation. If you have a Nintendo DS or 3DS, I recommend playing it!

Finally stopped trying to hack up a lung. For at least awhile. If it doesn’t improve, I may have to consider going to the doctor. Not how I wanted my day to go honestly.

Took long enough, but I finally got around to beating KH1FM again. Still adore this game, even years later. My only regret was dragging out the play-through, mainly because life got in the way.

Hoping to slow down and have some personal time for things I enjoy as well as goals I want to accomplish within the next few months or so.

Last repost: Won’t go into huge detail, but took a closer look at their recent campaign and yeah, I could tell something was off. So incredibly disappointing.
