An elderly lady went to the shelter to adopt a dog. As she was looking into the kennels, a dog sleeping in the corner stood up and looked up to her. Their gaze meet, and at that moment, they knew they both found a friend, a companion and someone to love . They were both rescued and found happiness.

My favourite Grimms fairy tale tells of a couple that made their father eat out of a wooden trough because he was old and sloppy. They found their son carving the next day and asked him what he was doing. He told them he was making them a trough. The elderly father was invited back to the table.

When you abandon a dog because it is no longer useful, you are showing your child exactly how to treat you when you grow old. Loyalty deserves loyalty. Compassion deserves compassion. Never abandon the ones who gave you unconditional love. ❤️

My therapist told me that a great way to let go of your anger is to write letters to people you hate and then burn them. I did that and I DO feel much better but I'm wondering, what am I supposed to do with all these letters?
