Why don’t I follow WWE anymore? I mean, I am a professional wrestling fan, have been since Junior High. I followed WWE since Junior High up untill a few years ago. Why? The reason: WWE views their talent as disposable, and that disgusts me.

It is beyond clear to me that WWE sees its employees, most prominently its talent, as disposable. I cannot in good conscience support a company that does so. This is why I no longer follow WWE.

WWE typically fires talent right after Wrestlemania, as was the case this year. However, this year saw a new dynamic. This year a number of talent were approached about taking a pay cut. If the talent refused, they got released or their contracts were allowed to expire.

This situation became a problem to me in 2021, when WWE started firing talent in batches of twenty or more. Some of those firing were inexcusable to me. Mercedes Martinez was released while she was recovering after suffering a concussion in the ring on live TV. www.wrestlinginc.com/news/2021/08...

WWE requires their talent to go on the road 300+ dates a year, sacrificing their bodies and time with their families, just so the company can fire them at a time of the company’s choosing. They say “release”, I say fire.

I just wrapped up hosing Single and Food Motivated for October. We held it on the patio at The Bambino, a buzzy Sicilian-style pizza place on Midvale Main Street. Good food, fantastic company, and great atmosphere!

This does speak to the disparity between male and female health care. Females, whether it’s mammograms or Pap smears, have to endure exams that they feel are intrusive or are uncomfortable for many reasons. Meanwhile, the digital prostate exam (jellyfinger), has been replaced with a blood test.

Started putting this meal prep together this morning. Finished putting it together while the World Series was beginning in the background. Ate and cleaned up this dish by the commercial break after the second inning. Plus, I have red beans I have to figure out something to do with!

Today I hosted Singles Game Day, and it was great to add to the crowd at 2 Row Brewing. I would have loved to have shared Tanto Cuore: Momento Mori with people, but it was also great to facilitate socializing amongst the attendants.

I’d say that this has the energy of Milton saying he’ll “Set the building on fire” if he didn’t get back his red stapler. Except at the end of Office Space, Milton does set the building on fire. Trump hasn’t done what he says he’s going to do. Not about Iran, or about a great many things.

This is something I saw at the Salt Lake Italian Festival not too long ago. The restaurant that served it gave patrons a choice between bacon and chicken. Perhaps I should have drained the bacon after I cooked it. Maybe next time I’ll make this with chicken. 🤔
