Alright, let’s all get on the same page about Vought/NIH/Trump. THEY👏WILL👏STOP👏AT👏NOTHING👏 The goal is to destroy the STEM ecosystem, universities, and democracy as we have known it. PERIOD. The only way to win is to impeach them all…which means we need Congress. HERE’S HOW WE WIN 🧵

People will die and states will spend almost as much money on the paperwork requirements not insuring people as they would just giving them coverage.

More evidence of the harm of the 2025 Republican reconciliation law: The provision blocking people from Medicaid if they don't meet a work requirement will penalize some people who are hospitalized or looking for work. www.cbpp.org/blog/falling...

It is really time to sue on the ankle monitor policy: it was issued as interim guidance rather than a notice and comment rulemaking. It also likely violates the 5th Amendment Due Process Clause.

Awful. Just awful. A promising young man, a high school honors grad who joined JROTC and dreamed of becoming a doctor, killed himself because of the Trump admin’s obsession with hurting Haitians and the humiliating shame of an ICE ankle monitor. His blood is on their hands.

ICE arrests have hit a record high for Trump's second term. A vast majority of those who have been arrested are people with no criminal history. Remember that private prison companies like CoreCivic and GEO Group were some of Trump's biggest donors. They're now reporting billions in revenue.

Federal corporate political spending has already reached nearly $650 MILLION ahead of the midterms, according to @publiccitizen.bsky.social. That’s an all-time high — and we’re still months away from Election Day. Big Money is the real threat to “election integrity.”

WTF: Megyn Kelly just said that Dr. Anthony Fauci is WORSE than Jeffrey Epstein, claiming: “Fauci hurt a lot more people than Epstein did. A lot more, amazingly.” Her guest, Victor Davis Hanson, immediately agreed, repeatedly declaring: “Millions, millions, millions, millions.” This is MAGA.

Our election system is rigged. Billionaires and corporate special interests have the power to drown out voters. We need to get big money out of politics to restore trust in our government.

Replying to @thefinancenewsletter.com

CBO projects net interest will top $1 trillion this year and reach $2.1 trillion by 2036. Corporate taxes fell $86 billion (24%) while withheld paycheck taxes rose $115 billion (4%). Every rise in interest leaves less room for tax cuts, public services, and the next crisis.

I'll summarize this: Mamdani asked NYers to keep air conditioning at 78 degrees. A wave criticism hit online. A MSNBC broadcast pointed out the US Department of Energy recommends that 78 degree figure. Immediately after, the US Department of Energy deleted 6,000 web pages related to energy saving.

Americans should hang their heads in utter humiliation for having elected this cretinous scumbag. No voters— at any time, in any nation, at any point in history— have chosen more poorly. America has precisely the president they deserve— and insisted upon.

If Trump actually ends his War on Iran it will be the single best decision he's made in the conflict, regardless of concessions. He disproved a core belief of the Iran Deal critics, that a better outcome existed through threats and force. Catastrophic failure, bombs cannot secure what diplomacy did.

Trump was just bragging about gasoline being $1.85 and/or $1.94 a gallon in Iowa. The Bloomberg babblers report it but don't correct it. A simple check shows the lowest price for standard regular unleaded gasoline in Iowa is hovering right around $3.50 to $3.54 a gallon

Members of Congress, including myself, have access to inside information. It is simply wrong to use our positions in public service for personal gain. That’s even more true with the President, who has the ability to move markets with a single decision.
