First time playing Blood on the Clocktower last night!
I was the Zombuul demon and did a brill job murdering people avoiding capture. Got down to the final three in the village and evil won!
Except, no, I was actually the Lunatic all along- i’d been manipulated by the true demon the whole game 😞🫣🫠
Finally attended a screening from my local film group -after TWO YEARS meaning to- and got to watch Ugetsu.
A farmer peasant gets greedy with his pottery side hustle and it slowly costs him everything in this 16th century morality fable. It was pretty good!

I had a surprise birthday party recently -old now, thanks- and the DJ played Cocteau Twins’ “Heaven or Las Vegas” followed by New Order’s “Blue Monday”.
I havent stopped thinking about that moment for weeks.
Fun weekend displaying at my first Awesome Bricks in @ntlmuseumsscot.bsky.social Museum of Flight! Brilliant venue, great visitors, excellent Lego displays.
Tough few weeks of prep building to this size, but it looked great in the end! 🧡

Akira the film is 37 years old, and im 39 years old. It wasnt until tonight at Eden Court that we crossed paths for the first time.
Im almost scared to watch anything else now. Truly medium defining.
(It’s aged a lot better than I have)
Anything not saved will be lost.
I made a small save point for my upcoming Medieval Fantasy Village Lego MOC, a marker for adventurers/players to visit.
Can’t be too careful with all those rogues, mages, and city guards about, better save just in case!

Spent the last week sneaking out on school nights to go to the Inverness Film Festival, and it’s the *best* time ive had in a while.
Defo helped winter blues. More next year please.
Lynne Ramsay is a generational -and national- talent and you should go see Die My Love.
(my first film watched of my first Inverness Film Festival attended!)
Happy Halloween to my mum who would often calm any worries my younger sister had about ghosts with the reassurance that "It's not ghosts you want to be worried about, its murderers climbing in through the window"
One of my favourite cinema experiences tbh.
Went in completely blind to the source material. Massive cinematography. Incredible soundscapes.
Desert power.
After 5 seasons, 51 episodes, and a whole lot of variables along the way, our Fargo rewatch is complete. I can easily say it’s the best TV ive ever watched. Beautifully profound. Staggeringly so.
S3 > S2 > S1 > S5 > S4
I have a *lot* of feelings about it. Ask me about it next time you see me.
I wish we could be friends with brain surgeons the same way we can be friends with mechanics
"Things aren't quite right in here"
"Mind if I open you up and have a look?"
"Oh, gosh! Please!'
It's finally done!📝
In this blog post, I apply my theory of an archaeological gameworld mental model to Blue Prince, and argue that half the fun of the game is in what happens off-screen:

A little sentimentality is forgivable at the end of an era, so here's me saying farewell to the Nintendo Switch, the console that accompanied me through some of the toughest and most rewarding years of my life when I was a new parent

Credits rolled on Blue Prince after 44 in game days racking my brain, solving puzzles, and opening door after door.
Brilliant game.
And I know there’s still more to discover…
