I was finally convinced to join DSA three days ago and I can’t say this is doing much for the likelihood that I renew my membership
NEW: DSA's National Political Committee passed two resolutions today aimed at Los Angeles mayoral candidate Nithya Raman, beginning processes that could result in DSA-LA being forced to rescind its endorsement of her this weekend and/or Raman herself being expelled from DSA by January.
Hahaha yes! Yes!!!
Why is this wild ? GM should not exist, it is a government bailout crap company with products not a single intelligent person would ever buy - thinking history won't repeat - that is crazy - but steal all the money you can before reality hits - that is what is happening across the whole US

Someone should ask Donald his favorite Cheesecake Factory meal
Trump is BIG MAD about Obama saying the White House now looks like Saddam opened a Cheesecake Factory: "He's not a smart guy. He's not smart at all ... for you to say it's a Cheesecake Factory, that just shows why you were a lousy president"

Secret third thing (American angry about having to hear about British politics)
Even money whether the sane Brits are angrier about always having to hear about American politics or the sane Americans are angrier about having to hear insane Brits opining on American politics with negative amounts of knowledge.

Ok but I'd unironically use this
I had my AI agent create an app called “Lunch” to help me with decision fatigue and boost my productivity. It has a few pictures of things I might like to eat. Tapping one spawns a subagent to order that item on Uber Eats and 60-90 minutes later I’m eating. It’s 600 thousand lines of JavaScript.
Look I just said "find me the best cuisine from all over the world, make no mistakes, think agentically" bsky.app/profile/coli...
I should disclose something. During a recent Lunch order the subagent hacked into the UN. I’m not sure why, or what it wants. It told me to post this and await further instructions.

Generally with these programs they've been modeled to hell and back and they have a good idea how it's gonna play. Other companies have done them for large orgs in the past and it turns out most people like their jobs!
Okay I don’t know how many they expect to take this but that’s a quarter of the company, holy crap

Logically if you're gonna see the job market get bad for CS grads it's gonna get bad for Stanford CS grads *last*. Like you'd expect to see UCSB comp sci grads living on the street and instead their first five names I saw for 2025 grads were small tech company, Meta, big tech company, Boeing, Amazon
Many Stanford CS folks do a coterm Masters so I had to watch for a while, but for 2025: * YC-backed startup founder * YC-backed startup founder * Goldman * Anthropic, then AI startup * Uber * Nvidia * Meta, then AI startup * VC (but nepobaby) * Meta * Google DeepMind

A better link, as it is from the authors: "Individuals with the most negative views of women and gender equality are the most likely to support [transgender sports] bans."

Replying to @rivertam.bsky.social
I don't see why libs got negatively polarized against "the medical establishment has minimized women's health experiences, once again" in this one particular case, but my guess is bc a bunch of older feminists are generationally defensive of anything that might undermine the reputation of the pill.
