Just to note. January 23, 2019 there was a vote to reopen government (HJ RES 28, roll call vote 46) when the govt had been shut down for 30 days. Mike Johnson voted “no” on that. They didn’t seem to mind shutdowns then

It's awful but not surprising! This Supreme Court is the reason we are fighting to keep our democracy, and they keep supporting this lawless president! Brazil has a working Supreme Court, the main difference between these two attempted coups.
