All in congress, both sides should not receive any type of pay, reimbursement, perks and free meals, taxpayer paid medical or any benefits for the duration of the shutdown. Each member should be fined a per diem until $2,025 is reached. Then the amount doubles and so on and so forth. Do your jobs.

Per NPR today, the 50-50 poll on the government shutdown is 50% of REPUBLICANS favoring a shutdown based on principle. The other 50% were Dems and independents wanting compromise. So yes, the Republicans own this shutdown.
