Pretty extraordinary for the Jewish Chronicle to run an op ed & news story about Nigel Farage warning of antisemitism in the Greens without mentioning that he is the only serving major party leader to have been criticised by Jewish groups for using tropes linked to antisemitic conspiracy theories.

Read the text of the Greens’ Zionism=Racism resolution now, and I’m afraid it reads like an average “simple as that” FB rant by someone’s uncle, all rhetoric, no sense of history. If you’ve never heard of, say, Hashomer Hatzair you shouldn’t pass judgement like that, least of all as party policy. /

Add to that the ultra-cynical way this is being used as a convenient way to tarnish the more immigrant-friendly Left. Having been round the block a few times, as a rule I would not take any lessons on antisemitism from the right.

Of course this happens at the same time that I see people openly saying that they’d typed a question such as “is this filmmaker Hamas?” into an AI and calling this “research”, then going, “Why aren’t the media on to what my research has found? What else are they hiding?”
