I have a blog now and wrote about playing a bastardized version of OD&D in prison and how the DIY spirit of the OSR is most alive when you don't buy anything at all barenuckelavee.bearblog.dev/no-one-can-t...

My crew gave the clown a taste of his own medicine. They blew him up till he exploded violently, taking out a PC and making a mess of confetti and streamers. Haven’t laughed this hard for a while. Dream Shrine by @skullfungus.bsky.social and @bradkerr.net is a blast with teenagers. 🤡🎊 #osr

My crew asked for a western flavor. My favorite part is perusing sources. Returning to the Crystal Frontier, expanding the world with bounties from Wages of Sin (just arrived) and pulling new locations from Karth… that could work. Right? 🤔 @joelhines.bsky.social and @ratkingrpg.bsky.social #OSR

Calling on the #OSR hive mind! Has anyone given thought to converting stats from Mothership to Cairn? I’m planning a western inspired setting and looking at The Desert Moon of Karth. Any ideas for doing this?

Surely I’m not the only one with a pile of books I haven’t read. This is my latest book haul, mostly from @bookmansaz.bsky.social in Flagstaff, AZ. Do you have such a pile? Or shelf? #books #reading

The tattered, short cape tells me they’ve been at this a long time. Emphasizing the details across the shoulders, down the arms, and the hands resting on the sword hilt project both a challenge and confidence. The stars give it an other-worldly quality. #OSR art from @perplexingruins.bsky.social

My teen crew reached stopping place, so we’re taking a break to play some sci-fi. I have some important decisions to make. They’re into liminal, creepy, SCP. May have to adapt a little for the youngest players. Should be fun. 🤩 #osr #monolith @weirdwonder.bsky.social @adamhensley.bsky.social

This is gold. I don't know if I want to crack up or cry.

Your "vote" is a suggestion; the procedural fine print is where they bury the bodies. The DementiaDon's legal team didn't need to win the argument—they just needed a typo in the constitution. A masterclass in disenfranchisement. 💀

A Swiss museum made a splash by inviting the public to wear their swimwear to enjoy Paul Cezanne's iconic paintings of people bathing. u.afp.com/Sa7h

What happens when Fabien's Atelier, Dragon Town and Hungry Hollow are canon to the world? It means characters have a floating island, a shrink/grow portal, two marginally friendly dragons, Kingsclaw sword, and maybe some elementals at their disposal to fight Trigona. #OSR #ShadowDark

Lincoln just wasn't enough. We've officially moved from #President to “Hellenistic #Warlord energy. 🏺🚩 🖕 #POTUS #MAGA #WeThePeople are #TheResistance 🗽

Chatting about games I run inevitably leads to #osr. I talk about the game’s history and connections to what I do now. A relationship with the game’s history is a core value in the OSR. Creators and players often explain what history drives or inspire them. It’s a shared history. #ShowerThoughts

I’ve been neglecting my #osr love! Just got #OSRIC 3.0. Flipping through it’s well laid out and reads well. Wide lays flat real nice. Lots of fun art. Loved seeing the stirgre, one of the first creatures I ran as a GM. @mattfinchmythmere.bsky.social & @mythmeresuzy.bsky.social #ShowAndTell

Go you little blood-clot, GO! Rumors of buildup around Walter Reed in DC. #FDT #TheLittleBloodClotThatCould

#DiaperDonny will surrender and say he won. What did #GOP get us. A more radical Ayatollah? Lower sanctions for Iran? Fuel for inflation? Gas tanks 50%+ more expensive? Thanks! #Republican schmucks. #Clovis #Visalia #Bakersfield #VinceFong #WeThePeople are #TheResistance 🗽

This has got to be one of my favorite covers by @jpcoovert.bsky.social. The color and and sense of wild, beautiful danger. Always a breath of levity in the #osr #art scene.

Hey #MAGA! @gavinnewsom.bsky.social is now approved by Trump. Check out his platform! “AMERICA IS NOW "HOT" BECAUSE YOU HAVE A DYSLEXIC PRESIDENT INSTEAD OF A BRAIN-DEAD ONE. BIG UPGRADE!!!” #WeThePeople are #TheResistance 🗽

“Every time #POTUS opens his mouth, or takes action, the American people are forced to go into court to litigate it. That’s the tragic place America finds itself in today. … only #SCOTUS is standing in the way of the American people saving their country.” #WeThePeople are #TheResistance 🗽

Did you know the DOJ dropped a case against a bank laundering $20B of Iranian oil money? @schiff.senate.gov and @padilla.senate.gov hope you see this and ask the DOJ questions about it. Vince Fong (R CA-20) in #Fresno #Bakersfield #Visalia will ignore it. #WeThePeople are #TheResistance 🗽

The DOJ’s insolence must stop. Revealing survivors while protecting predators is malicious mishandling. That alone should be enough to impeach. Letter to Rep. Vince Fong (R #CA20). #Fresno #Bakersfield #Visalia @padilla.senate.gov and @schiff.senate.gov #WeThePeople are #TheResistance 🗽

I 😍 mashups. Last game I added The Festering Hive in @bobworldbuilder.bsky.social’s book Delve to @jpcoovert.bsky.social’s Dragontown. It’s morphing into a Buffy + Supernatural inspired hunt for The Darkness Below. The bees are infected with The Darkness but I still call them zombees. #osr

I spent the day assisting my son fixing his phone. Changed screen, back and battery using @ifixit.com kits and tools. It isn’t difficult and it’s a great skill. Worth trying for anyone who is #curious. #maker #diy

This. If they told users that using a traditional payment method jeopardized anonymity in the sign up process, they may have not had data to hand over, and their peepees wouldn't have been so hurt by someone reporting on it. They could've addressed that. But instead we get the "fake news" defense.

Normalizing “different” is probably more important than anyone imagines. We all have a freak flag to be proud of. At 7:33 @governor.ca.gov talks about his dyslexia. Thanks @aaronparnas.bsky.social for sharing this. I’ll be sharing this clip in class next week.

#Making stuff is fun. Now that I’ve figured out the solar panel I’m building voltage dividers to monitor panel and battery output. Why all the work? 1. It’s fun 2. Holiday lights 3. #Meshtastic nodes 4. Drone monitoring Maybe I’ll identify those flying lights in town. 👽

Good to know. An interesting feature of lockdown mode is it blocks 2G and 3G cell connections bc they have weak encryption. LD mode is restrictive, but good to know if needed. I may try it to see if it reduces the noise.

# Kindness is Subversive Warn immigrant families to hide. You are an agitator. Bear witness to abuse. You’re a troublemaker. Feed immigrants trapped at home. Subversive. Give refuge to an outcast. Accessory. A play date with immigrant children. Rebellion. Kindness is insurgency.

It has been reported that Donald Trump's name appears in the Epstein files 38,000 times. That is a lie. Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-Md.) has said that when he searched for Trump in the unredacted files, Trump’s name came up “more than a million times.” We should be calling them “The Trump Files.”
