I recorded a demo game to promo a TTRPG that's funding. Since I was recording and not streaming I was able to capture everyone's cameras at full resolution without taxing my computer and I wish I could do this for streams. It would make editing so much easier and look so good

There’s a flavor of joke where the premise is “whoa look how gross and inexplicable this fetish is, isn’t it funny, why would this turn anyone on” and tbh I think people who have that reaction to fetishes are very boring and uncultured.

I don’t even have any particularly weird fetishes but I really am not surprised by much that can turn people on and most things I can see how they would turn someone on even if they don’t do it for me personally.

Oh yeah when I was a teen, if you wanted to watch a YouTube video that was more than 5 minutes, you had to pause and wait (sometimes for like 10 minutes!) for it to load all the way through so you wouldn't have to keep waiting for it to buffer. Even longer for movies/TV!

I love live-streaming so this experience didn't make me want to switch over totally, but it's been fun to do something different, and I think the finished product is going to look pretty nice, even though it's very basic editing tbh.

I saw a video yesterday of someone on the left talking about Sherrod Brown's ads criticizing John Husted for "taking money" from First Energy, and they were like "but Sherrod Brown takes money from groups too so he's just as bad" The First Energy money was literally bribery People went to jail

I get the cynicism people have toward Democrats. I get that corporations have undue influence over candidates. But I think flattening a $60m bribery scandal to "everyone takes money from corporations" is a thought-terminating cliche and I'm really tired of people on the left saying stuff like that.
