Just saw a wonderfully rotund rock pigeon with pretty plumage. The very definition of a borb approaching a blorb shape

At last the time has come, Miss Fortuna smiles upon me! [narrows eyes] Oh no, wait, it says "misfortune". Ugh I tend to conflate those two

Kestrels always look so cute politely perched somewhere with their polite looking talons, it's easy to forget that they're one of the most precise tactical hunters

If I had to attend some kind of inter galactic symposium in order to plot against dark forces, then Hanae Mori’s mid #1970s butterfly dress seems well suited to such an endeavor #iwamiartmuseum #FashionHistory 🗃️🪡

Vision is sort of an anthropomorphic personification/metaphor for both Westview & The Witches Road - a bunch of subjects trapped in an illusory place until something happens and they're free in a way. The question is, how will *this* quest end

Honestly, not the best idea ever this sun devouring thing. I mean look at Apep

TOMORROW YOU WILL GRAB THE SUN WITH BOTH HANDS AND DEVOUR IT. FOR NOW DO YOU WANT TO TEXT A FRIEND?

Re-Animator but it's about Re who, out of slight boredom, comes up with a brilliant idea to breathe life into every single hieroglyph across the entirety of Kemet

"I have been challenged to a duel," she said. "For kissing a woman." "Did she consent?" the swordmaster said. "Yes, but men courting her did not." "Ah. How many?" "Are these men good?" She gave three names. "Far below your level." "Excellent!" She rose. "There are more women I want to kiss."

The biggest upside of having a(quite severe in my case) aphantasia is that i can read horror genre books without being even slightly unnerved. You can't be terrified by a faint outline projected against a shapeless grayish void in your mind's eye

The way a Doctor Who/Lower Decks crossover would totally fix me(probably)

stefanie@rroway.bsky.social

Yes but why SNW tho? Lower Decks is right there! Its format is essentially more flexible and imo better suited for orchestrating a perfect little one-off(ish) crossover, animated or live-action or perhaps even both

Yes! Every possible animal, including scientifically accurate dinosaurs

Adrian Tchaikovsky@aptshadow.bsky.social

Remake Ladyhawke but instead of her turning into a hawk and him into a wolf they each turn into different random animals each time.

Oh the cast of VisionQuest is stellar stellar. Jarvis in his original form, Jennifer Goines and Deacon(of 12 Monkeys the series), Dennis and Robert(Goes Wrong Show) and PHILOMENA CUNK

My personal choice is Silence in the Library/Forest of the Dead. If you weren't afraid of the dark before, watching it might at the very least make you wary of it A tiny downside tho - when i see any depiction of a skull sporting an astronaut helmet i can't help but refer to it as 'Vashta Nerada' 🙃

This month's story challenge for October: A story that really terrifies you! Quote this post with the Doctor Who story you've watched/listened/read for October!

I'm as excited about the upcoming The Ninth Doctor and Susan's Xmas audio reunion as the next person but oh how i wish it was live action

Making the local festival fair a part of your route especially when you're broke is hardly a wise idea, but a walk is a walk(and must be taken)

Anyone barely remembers but cats were using rats(and mice) to dowse for cheese 😌 /j

Would you really like to live in a society where you have no responsibility and no freedom, no choice, only the false option of obedience to the law, or disobedience followed by punishment? Would you really want to go live in a prison?

Just learned that the snoot of a prehensile-tailed porcupine is soft and squishy(kind of like marshmallow). The boopiest of snoots

TNG wouldn't be the same without Picard's omnipotent boyfriend occasionally emerging from the Continuum to annoy him 🤧

Freedom is a heavy load, a great and strange burden for the spirit to undertake. It is not easy. It is not a gift given, but a choice made, and the choice may be a hard one.

idk why eating soup makes me so sleepy. Seriously, the effect soups have on me puts to shame most of sleepy teas 🙃

I know a malophile who would totally appreciate those apples

Grandiloquent Word of the Day@grandiloquentwords.bsky.social

Malophile [MAL-oh-file] (n.) - One with a fondness for apples; an ardent apple enthusiast. Use: “A zealous malophile, Farmer Cludd tended an orchard of Orange Pippins whose unwholesome roots, it was whispered, reached into the very bowels of Hades, where they drank the blood of the damned.”
