@dicknixon.bsky.social Baseball is romantic because it’s not one and done playoff. Life is not one and done. It’s a story. It’s a million one and dones. You give and you give and you hate yourself in the morning but the Rays won so many goddamned games at home you watch Game 3 and *glass shatters*

@dennycarter.bsky.social Long time listener first time caller. If you go to the 8:31 timestamp of the Roto podcast your head turned a full 360 degrees, and a voice not of this world said Javontee Williams wouldn’t get 7 fantasy points tonight in a PPR league. Kinda weird, thought you’d like to know.

ALWAYS HAS BEEN

Would you lie to this man? EXCLUSIVE: Nathan Fielder, codirector of the Elizabeth Holmes documentary ‘You Can See Everything,’ sat down with WIRED for an extended interview—the first he’s given to discuss the film. 🔗 www.wired.com/story/nathan...

4-2 going into the bye week, Trevor playing lights out, Liam finally fed up with BTJ, and concerns are almost entirely on the defensive side of the ball. I’ll take it.

One of the funniest things is NFL players and coaches watching something happen on the field and being genuinely surprised and impressed with it.

They are very obviously giving Travis Hunter all of BTJ’s snaps and isn’t it wild how a competent receiver in that role helps?

Once again, Trevor playing out of his mind considering drops and officiating. Feels good to have a quarterback who can overcome adversity.

Everyone who replied "me" is automatically rewarded with a second life and is now locked in the room without a bullet as punishment for not making the tough choices in life

You do you, but the whole point of cosmopolitanism is supposed to be that your moral horizons extend beyond your own tribe, no matter what you think of them (or what they actually are).

i do unironically think people that are cosmopolitan need sorta paradoxically be more chauvinist about it tbh. places and people that are cosmopolitan in outlook are better than places that are provincially minded. the kind of performative handwringing about not being 'authentic' is bad and weak.
