My favourite Weird Bioware Moment was in ME2, Jack's Loyalty mission. Jack was tortured as a youth by evil scientists to increase her biotic powers. The point is that the torture didn't strengthen it at all. Back in gameplay mode you can scan the chair she was tortured in for a bonus to biotics.
