Follower of Christ, husband, father... I've served on the school board and the deacon board and believe we're only going to fix things by making genuine, local connections with people who disagree with us.

See? This is why we can't have nice things.

"Ordinarily, moving historical items within the building is a deliberate process overseen by curators. Hegseth’s staff dispatched its own team to relocate an Eisenhower globe. They dropped it...The resulting gash appears to be several inches wide." wapo.st/3WF2YQo

Medicare for All means freedom. Freedom to switch jobs. Freedom to start a small business. Freedom to make choices that are best for you and your family without worrying about losing your healthcare.

It's interesting to see this from Hannity, but I notice that fox seems to be pushing back (gingerly) on more BS from this admin. I think that they are starting to hedge their bets.

😮 Katie Zacharia crashes and burns on [checks notes] Hannity 😮 If you had the "over" on Zacharia lasting more than one Scaramucci, her epic flame out on Hannity just now won't help your cause Here's the whole interview:

When Grammy-winning musician Rhiannon Giddens begins playing “Old Corn Liquor,” a traditional Black American folk tune, acclaimed Chinese pipa virtuoso Wu Man recognizes similarities to Chinese pentatonic music and spontaneously joins in. The joy on their faces says it all.

Ossoff: "The last time Trump lost the presidency, he tried to seize the presidency and overturn the election. That's why it's so important that we vote in unprecedented numbers. This is up to the people."

A South African woman of color who fought Apartheid, led the UN commission that condemned the Gaza genocide won the Nobel Peace Prize? I think even Natalie will be calling off sick from work this morning. Hide the ketchup.

Navi Pillay, a South African-born jurist and former U.N. human rights chief whose career has spanned from defending the rights of an imprisoned Nelson Mandela to leading a panel that found that Israel committed genocide in Gaza, won the Nobel Peace Prize. https://to.pbs.org/4yev2Y2

Good. I’ve looked up Van Drew’s record; he’s done nothing for South Jersey, let alone for the country. He’s just another weird dude, captured by the cult, waiting with a sycophantic smile for the next presidential photo op.

Currently writing year end reviews for my team. This time around the HR tool included an AI assistant that they could use to help draft their self-assessments. Whooo, boy. They all lose points from me for letting the thing introduce more fluff and flowery language than their performance warranted

Decades from now when the histories of this era are written, Jack Smith will be remembered as someone who did his job honorably and told the truth without fear or prejudice.

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Jack Smith: "Our investigation developed proof beyond a reasonable doubt that President Trump engaged in serious crimes against our nation ... rather than accept his defeat in the 2020 election, he engaged in a criminal scheme to overturn the results and prevent the lawful transfer of power"

Wow. This was an excellent timeline cleanse. It's refreshing to learn something new and marinate in the warm comfort of science, expertise, and nerdy enthusiasm.

Apple "detectives" wanted to identify a gnarly old tree growing on a remote plot of land in Maine. What they discovered was the key to a centuries-old apple mystery.

Some will still vote "R" Maybe it's Stockholm Syndrome -or the Sunk Cost Fallacy -or the belief that the unborn are the only lives worth protecting My hope is in those for whom the truth is starting to resonate. The lies are exhausting so they're starting to leave them behind.

So many sneering elitist journalists with snarky posts over the past months that the Reflecting Pool story was trivial. It was so trivial that the DC US Attny presented false evidence to a grand jury to indict an innocent man to please the President while they both lied about it.

When this is all over, we need to choose a leader who has the integrity, strength, and courage to apologize. To the country. To the world; friend and foe alike. We broke the window. We stole the candy bar. We need to own our offenses if we every hope to learn, grow, and rebuild trust.

A 3-year-old girl watched ICE murder her father yesterday. We all watched Sebastian Guerrero’s final moments through our phones. We can scroll away — but Sebastian’s 3-year-old daughter cannot.

I'm old enough to remember when this sort of thing only happened in the Soviet Union.

While potentially still alive in memoriam, Mitch McConnell, POS: A man who first and foremost put party and self above Country and Citizens.

I sincerely hope that James Talarico is exactly the man that we hope he is. Win or lose, I need him to be ethical, compassionate, and kind. I need to know that someone of integrity can exist in public life.

BREAKING: Graham Platner drops out of the U.S. Senate race in Maine. Platner posted an 11-minute (!!) video to announce he’s dropping out, in which he blamed “large forces” and the “corporate media” for the very credible sexual assault allegations against him. Good riddance!
