Hello my name is Daniel Hodges. You might know me as Every White Guy who was at the Capitol on 1/6, both insurrectionists and officers. It was a clever ruse though; I was just the one guy in the last photo. Still am, really!

Finally someone says out loud the real reason why Obama was a lousy President: his interior decorating metaphors.

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Trump is BIG MAD about Obama saying the White House now looks like Saddam opened a Cheesecake Factory: "He's not a smart guy. He's not smart at all ... for you to say it's a Cheesecake Factory, that just shows why you were a lousy president"

G Elliott Morris@gelliottmorris.com

New: Low-info voters, who put Trump in the White House, now look even more anti-Trump than high-info voters, and give Dems bigger margins on the generic ballot. 1 out of 3 Trump voters who can't name the party in charge of Congress now back Dems for 2026. www.gelliottmorris.com/p/poll-low-i...

Is there like, a firing line of soldiers with their weapons pointed at the people in the background? How did they not react?

Headquarters@headquartersnews.bsky.social

Trump makes an indescribable sound effect: "I'd say 90% of the reason I took the governor-- EUHHH"

Flavored sparkling water is truly the constellation of beverages. When you experience it, If you squint your eyes and apply a healthy dose of your imagination you can kinda see how it got its name.

“It’s easy to criticize something that happened 7 months ago.” ...Yes! Yes it is! It was easy 7 months ago too!

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

JD Vance: "I see what Abdul El-Sayed says about the war in Iran. I see him criticizing decisions the president has made, the military has made. But fundamentally we are where we are.I'd like to know what's Abdul El-Sayed's solution for the problem we have right now? It's easy to criticize"

"Only the homophobic men showed an increase in penile erection to male homosexual stimuli. The groups did not differ in aggression. Homophobia is apparently associated with homosexual arousal that the homophobic individual is either unaware of or denies." psycnet.apa.org/doiLanding?d...

JD Vance in Texas: “I love you too, sir. In a totally platonic way, to be clear. I'm the Vice President, not James Talarico.”

In early 2025, I assumed the Trump regime would delete the Department of Justice’s press releases and other statements related to more than 1,000 Jan. 6 cases. So I downloaded them. We’ve now made them available to the public with a search tool. They can’t erase history. jan6memoryproject.org

AI writing makes me feel like I need to take a shower. I will make the only actual human social network. To get an account you have to have lunch with me (you're buying). To post you have to deposit a drop of blood in the USB port and it has to match your blood on file. Done with these robits.

Yeah, they definitely lash out alright. Here's some of the white supremacist groups represented at the Jan 6th insurrection, courtesy of WaPo:

Mike Collins makes apologies for white nationalists like his son in law: "These people feel like they've been forgotten. And they're just lashing out."

Honest to god a DCCC text saying "[Name], we are going to crush these motherfuckers in November. I know we've been sometimes desperate sounding in these texts before but right now I'm telling you if everyone kicks in $30 we can rip their still-beating heart out before their eyes" would work on me rn

"Fatty fat fatso," Amazon added glibly.

Amazon users are discovering a bizarre "About You" page that reveals what the company thinks it knows about them One woman found Amazon had determined she "has flat buttocks"

I'm issuing a moratorium on assigning three letter initialisms to people, particularly politicians. There are too many acronyms in the world already. Thank you.

To be clear this wasn't today, it was from earlier this year, at the Republican's last humiliation ritual with Smith. I just like the photo and the support it conveys.

Seeing a lot of people yell at men who haven't posted about Cornell. I actually haven't posted about the vast majority of terrible things that have happened in the world, doesn't mean I approve of them. It means I have nothing worthwhile to add.

I keep hearing about Ken Paxton's eye but I don't know anything about him so I'm just imagining "Paxton's Eye" is an Eye of Sauron scenario except it's Texas so it manifests between the uprights of football goal posts.

If Trump lives long enough and runs for a third term, I wonder what Clarence Thomas is going to try to pass off as a rational interpretation of the law that would permit the candidacy.

Omg look at this corrupt cop pulling assailants off of his colleagues by their backpacks. How cruel! I'm a proud J6er! Anyway please donate money to me and buy real estate with me and be my friend and my wife and

Just came from a gallery display of John Kaul's photography of folks he finds admirable, of which I was fortunate to be one. You can tell he's good because he captured the essence of my sleepy eyes and melty face.

I get that I'm not the target demo for the ad but uh, "This person was dumb enough to believe conspiracy theories and participate in the attack on the Capitol and now they are voting for me" isn't the winning endorsement you might think it is.

NEW with Brittany Shepherd for @huffpost.com: Two former police officers who defended the Capitol on Jan. 6 are speaking out about an ad from a prominent Democratic candidate which features an attendee of the rally that day — and they are deeply unhappy. www.huffpost.com/entry/texas-...

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Trump: “All of the SLEAZEBAGS, like Third Rate ‘Reporter,’ Kaitlyn Collins, of Fake News CNN, a truly unhappy person, said they weren’t going to be covering me. Then why were they ranting and raving like Lunatics at the UN? She’s got a ‘TRUMP’ addiction. They’re all sick, treasonous, and demented!”

When I was comparing careers in fire and law enforcement, one of the deciding factors for me was the relative scarcity of structure fires compared to the frequency of medical calls. Emergency medicine is a different beast. I didn't want that to be the bulk of my service, respect to those who do.

With less than 50 days until the midterm elections (and in honor of Pokémon's 30th anniversary), I'm starting a series lifting up some of the most important House and Senate candidates who will help flip Congress in November. (1/3)

And people thought Obama went on a a worldwide "apology tour" after Bush. But seriously, the next President is just going to have to acknowledge the US is bipolar and other countries are wise to have alternate trade and military partnerships going forward. At least until we get our culture right.

Why is it resting on a textureless field of goop that looks like it was rendered by early 90s CGI software?

Attempts to put bubble wrap around every word that isn't utterly, etymologically anodyne is emblematic of the most obnoxious tendencies of liberals. I can assure you the guy sleeping on the sidewalk isn't helped by saying he's "a person experiencing homelessness." www.psypost.org/is-the-phras...
