I think people really underestimate how badly the evangelical movement bastardizes Scripture and the faith in general. It was only when I was deep in study preparing for ministry that I came to see it for what it was and made the decision to leave.

It doesn’t take an expert on the military to recognize that: 1 - You don’t fire the inspectors general and judge advocates if you plan to follow the law. 2 - You don’t eliminate the top 20% of your most experienced and educated officers if your plans have legitimate military objectives.

If there is anything for which I am grateful to this nightmare administration, it’s the revelation that our supposed checks and balances amongst the three allegedly co-equal branches of government are somewhat toothless and need some reworking.
