I think of how a horrifying reveal in the first Mass Effect is that the Reapers prepare civilization for harvest by manipulating it into relying on technology that is advantageous to their aims, which follows their philosophy. So long as the galaxy relies on Reaper tech, it cannot resist them.

Something I've never seen other people talk about in the Mario Movie (2023) is the Super Mario World style map in one of the scenes. I want a high res version of that 👀

With #VRChat getting advanced face tracking options for desktop I wonder if Booth/Gumroad/Jinxxy creators are going to have those face-tracking features become standard on their models.

So I'm not the only one complaining about how slow Archaeology is in #runescape and I genuinely wonder if the skill XP rates were designed around Treasure Hunter. Admittedly a lot of my levels were gained from stars and lamps from daily keys, and now that it's gone the slow rate is very noticeable.

With two new trailers from #RuneScape, and news about the Reignited cancellation, there was a lot of confusion and misinformation from outside the player-base on what the games are. Hopefully this will explain some things. #osrs #dragonwilds #runescape4

I get that #RuneScape Reignited is to clean the taint from MTX pay-to-win from the past 13 years and give people a clean slate just like the OSRS release. But that is quite a hole to try to climb out of.

Playing #PEAK for the first time with a group and reaching the end. I unironically got the same feelings as I did when we successfully reached the end of #Philmont in my #scouting days.

If #RuneScape4 is to a successful "next-generation MMO" it should be what made RS popular in the first place. A sandbox, a third-place to exist and hang-out in, where you can do whatever you want with other players present.

Something very helpful for testing #VRChat #avatar #audio is to use the stream camera, fly the camera to the distance you want to test, and check Audio From Camera. No friends required!

Playing #Heretic + Hexen and upon getting to Episode 2 I thought I was going crazy with the levels being way different yet familiar. I only played Heretic once and I knew something was off.

I was already using the #VRChat "Selfie Expression" for lazy #VTubing via Spout but the announced update for dedicated face tracking in the Avatar SDK is gonna make it even more useful.

As much as I flew the Jumpaconda I was never too fond of flying the thing. But the MkII looks sleeeek. #EliteDangerous

Attribution matters! Even when something is "common knowledge" I spend way too long trying to figure out where everyone gets that cute chibi model!

I like games where you mow down hordes of monsters and I don't really care for games where you are fighting a damage sponge. But I realize that I do like it when it's a powerful boss monster that gradually gets weaker and more visually damaged over time.

I like the "6 7" meme. All because if it was a thing when I was in school, the teachers would be screaming at us and handing out detentions for "gang signs" and "devil worship"

I think there are people who enjoy the process of solving problems. And there are people who just want problems to go away.

am i wrong for enjoying code?? this keeps popping up in random conversations where people who otherwise believe using ai to do things for you is unjustified are like 'oh but code is obviously fine' without a second thought. i am pretty sure i already bleeted this

Hearing "in a world almost covered entirely by ocean" right after Mega Man almost killed me. #NintendoDirect #MegaManLegends cope

As much as we all abhor botting in MMOs. I had a thought.. what if someone were to make a game centered around controlling an army of bots to gather resources, and another bot army processing the resources, and selling the products to make number go up. Then I realize... that's just a colony sim.

Been playing through #Doom: The Dark Ages and I feel like a freaking rocket-powered steam roller. It's always fun to be a fast and hard-hitting melee tank. Very much like the power armor in classic's #Guncaster mod.

In most open-world games I much prefer being out in the wilderness and tend to avoid towns and cities. Feeling like a ranger.
