Jack Smith: "Our investigation developed proof beyond a reasonable doubt that President Trump engaged in serious crimes against our nation ... rather than accept his defeat in the 2020 election, he engaged in a criminal scheme to overturn the results and prevent the lawful transfer of power"

I'm grateful to the OP because now is the time to start discrediting entirely the idea of third parties as being viable in national politics. They are always a bad idea. They are often an outright scam. See Jill Stein.

The oil industry buys off Congress. No action on climate. The NRA buys off Congress. No action on guns. Insurance companies buy off Congress. No action on health care. Big Tech buys off Congress. No action on AI safety. The list goes on and on. Money in politics is the root of our dysfunction.

1/ In 2014, a nonprofit run by an Israeli American proposed embedding a former Shin Bet officer inside a Washington sheriff's office to build an informant network targeting "demonstrations." That proposal reads like a blueprint for what just surfaced in Minnesota. #DV1 #ProudBlue #USDemocracy

8/9 Renée Good. Alex Pretti. Shot and killed for protesting in Minneapolis this year. Not in some other country. Here. This is what we’re up against, and it is not okay. It could have been any one of us standing on that street murdered by the ICE Gestapo

STAY TUNED ON THIS Republicans may have poked the bear. They used gerrymandering to weaken Black voting power. Instead, new data suggests they helped drive higher Black voter turnout across parts of the South. 1/2

Absolutely heartbreaking letter from the mother of Alex Pretti, six months after his murder by ICE agents. How is it possible that we still haven’t seen even a hint of justice for such a heinous crime?

What would it practically accomplish? Right now McConnel holds the seat, but he's not there using it. That means when it comes time to vote, there is one less Republican in a chamber where they already barely have a majority. If he's replaced, chances are his replacement WILL be there.

The Stop Insider Trading Act is a fraud and not the ban Americans are calling for. It's an attempt to pretend to address corruption while putting lawmakers' profits over the public good. Congress should listen to the people and pass the Restore Trust in Congress Act.

In some ways, the harshest thing you could say about Lindsay Graham is that he once seemed to be a person of integrity and conviction.

Here's a montage of what Lindsey Graham thought of Donald Trump before he became a lackey and humiliated himself.

Not all heroes wear capes. I'm not saying that Marc doesn't wear one, just that it's not required.
