Moon pic from Palm Springs. Don’t know where the astronauts are right now but fascinating to think they’ve been over there #moon #she #theonlyome #thedevilsblood

THREAD: I got laid off from NYMag/Vulture after 14 years. The family lost 75% of income + medical. Now mzs.press bookstore, once a side project. is do-or-die for Judith & I. I feel weird telling you this because others are doing much worse. But if you could like or share this, we'd be so grateful!

Greetings, new friends! You may know me as an author, a prolific Bluesky poster and 4th place finisher on So You Call That Dancing? But you might not know that my partner Judith (@mzpress) and I have an online arts bookstore that's growing every day. Full inventory here: mzs.press/EVERYTHING-W...

To Whomever volunteered to send this to me and my husband- thank you so much for your work! The handwriting and the colors and underlines are absolute perfection. Also, no worries - Issa’s been a big no no for years. We’ll vote better than that!

Reminder: All it would take to end the murder of American citizens by an untrained government goon squad is 16 Republicans in Congress voting with Dems to defund ICE (or 23 to impeach and remove Trump — 3 in House & 20 in Senate). That’s it. 23 Americans can vote for the public and end all of this.

The deportation order is based on Vedam’s conviction for murder—a crime he did not actually commit and for which he’s now been wholly exonerated. He entered the US at 9 months old and was a legal permanent resident before his conviction. We are so, so, so far from the light of justice.

After spending 43 years in prison for a crime he didn't commit, evidence hidden by the prosecution reversed his conviction. Rather than finally enjoying freedom, ICE abducted him for deportation Depraved. www.miamiherald.com/news/local/i...

"I like this hair lace and [sic] – I like that hair nice and wet. Takes you – you have to stand in the shower for 20 minutes before you get the soap out of your hair. And I put a, a thing – and it sounds funny but it’s really not. It’s horrible.”

@mayor.lacity.gov LAPD clearly out of control- per usual. What are you going to do about this Karen?!? If you can’t rein in your police department then you need to resign.

Sent to me from a source who took this video yesterday who says LAPD pushed an unhoused person walking in the crosswalk. The fall caused the woman’s head to crack open. LAPD dragged and left her bleeding on the sidewalk, providing no medical care. The person a group of onlookers took her to the ER.

"When you need support, [Palm Springs Police Dept.] will walk behind you. When you need an ally, we're gonna walk next to you and hold your hand. And when there are threats of violence and danger lurking, our warriors will walk in front of you and get on top of buildings." (Literally) 4/4 #NoKings

“Lantz wonders if the events that happened over the last few days in L.A. will inspire designers to think about the parks they make in new ways. “As designers, do you need to start thinking of public space as defensible for these types of actions?” he says.”

"I’ve looked at [the photos] multiple times today — I’ve been proud, I’ve been upset, I’ve been startled. Seeing our work repurposed in a moment of collective action was humbling and powerful," RIOS co-CEO Andy Lantz told @dianabudds.bsky.social
